Guild going horde because of faction imbalance

The Identity doesn’t have to go anywhere.

The Horde and Alliance can still fight each other. The factions can still hate each other, There is no reason some players can’t choose to work together anyways.

Look at BFA. The factions fought eachother, but characters like Genn and Jaina worked together with Horde leaders like Thrall and Lor’themar.

Plenty of faction identity there, but still we find ourselves working together.

If players care THAT MUCH They can mark their groups “Horde Races Only”

See I’m in a tough spot because I actually prefer the horde races but I prefer the alliance in everything else.

So yeah I would be happy with my high-mountain tauren or my nightborne, but I would seriously Miss the alliance aesthetic and their superior capital cities. I think I would also miss the laid-back attitude of the alliance compared to the sweaty try-hard nature of the horde.

Players like Me and other like minded pvp players will keep the “identity of hate between horde vs alliance” so No worries on that since it’s what we find fun and what keeps us playing the game.

The only difference is it would deftly cause community drama no doubt.

In this day in age however no one can be happy there is always a problem and will never be a win win option.

I just don’t see the issue with being able to play with Horde or Alliance Bnet friends or same goes for the queue listings for Mythic + or Raids. It’s neutral content both sides are doing. So team up.Simple

I don’t know if they can. How do you get people to start moving back, when they only moved because more people were on that side to begin with?

I think it’s time for cross faction grouping, personally.

Yeah I definitely prefer stormwind over orgrimmar.

I think the main distinction would be that if there were no faction restrictions in PvE, you could have the option to play with whomever you like.

When bloodlust became a thing so did heroism as well. It was the exact same iirc. Alliance had the better pve stuff due to having paladins as well

Might be a bit too far. Keep factions, just make guilds open for all. After all, we as player characters have helped both horde and alliance races and factions so we should be the exception now. We aren’t just another NPC adventurer at this point.

At the very least, let both factions pick up pugs for groups and all group finder content be open.

They only care about the number of people over all on the factions rather than the end game raiding. It’s not a big deal to them which is more popular there. Also, they all play horde.

If they also had incentives plus FREE up to 4 characters from Horde-> alliance , buffed racials for a short period of time, give it a bait and switch before nerfing the racials, further increased alliance bonuses like the XP buff and maybe some kinda easier covenant grind in increased endgame resources. Sadly I think they’d have to do all of that or at least, a fair amount of something similar before people would actually go back to alliance.

Having 80% of the end game population is hard to pull away from.

So, would just be over all easier to just make it more open between the two factions. They may just ignore it all together and wait for more alliance players to swap or quit. Doesn’t matter to them, they don’t play alliance besides maybe chris metzen.

There’s nothing they can do. The damage is already done over the years.

what they should do is just allow cross faction PVE finally.

Thats fine. Blizzard thinks this is an rpg where choices need to matter after all. Choices matter when you have less choices or at least thats what the devs are saying

I would see that as being a very solid compromise. As long as they removed the language barrier when you’re in guild/party chat, that would be fairly harmless to lore and open world events like warmode.

Yeah they’d need to. Realistically, there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to anyways anymore. We are often all talking to each other and undeads are just humans. Some used to be sided with humans. It would be more baffling that they all speak orcish over common, realistically. They aren’t even from azeroth.

If they did that, it would be interesting to see if they’d make guilds also open to all servers. I say this because they already started adding the system by the whole group chat communities where people can chat from all servers.

My guild did the same. What did you expect after 10 years of blatant horde favoritism which included:

  • all Devs including the director playing horde and sayings things like the horde are waiting for you.

  • historically op horde racials that caused top alliance guilds to switch and admit they switched for the op horde racials in order to remain competitive.

  • orc statues outside Blizz main office.

  • wow dev named Staat said that all
    Blizz favor horde.

  • Blizz selecting bands at blizzcon that praise horde and tell alliance players to f_____ and kill them selves.

  • horde getting vulpera, historically alliance races (blood elves) and alliance getting fat humans and diaper gnomes.

I’d go on, but I’m starting to sound mean.

This started the faction imbalance, and its grown ever since for other reasons.

Alliance will all be bots, soon.

Is that why you made such a beep boop Horde bias post?

High Elves for the Alliance!

You got it.

I can fight the horde, but can’t fight the horde and all of the Devs at the same time.

Enjoy your one faction game. When that time comes, which looks like very soon, I’m out to an Xbox or p4.

That was absolutely the beginning of this entire problem. Many guilds swapped for this specific reason. When the racials were balanced out, I believe the disparity was already present, if minimal, and it has kind of just festered since.

I’m honestly very shocked at how big of a difference it is after actually playing horde for a few weeks. I was not expecting more than a small change but boy, was I wrong.

One of the saddest things is that when diaper gnomes were introduced they had incredible op racials.

I heard there were some top horde guilds thinking about switching to alliance for that op racial as a possible advantage in raids.

Well, you guessed it, the Blizz Devs that all play horde heard about it and nerfed the hell out of diaper gnome racials to its current state, and it was not worth those horde guilds transferring anymore.

Op racials are only for horde or no one at all.

welcome to the cool faction :muscle::sunglasses:

Yeah unfortunately this is true it’s sad that Alli players are struggling to raid because of this. But unfortunately I don’t see how you can possibly fix this sort of thing Blizz can’t force people to play a certain faction there is no possible way to even the factions out completely one side is always going to outnumber the other for whatever reasons

I was alliance for a really long time, probably since wrathgate and definitely since sylv was made warchief. I don’t like her and I never have. That said, I’m much happier on this side of the fence. Any new leader for this race will be superior to the emo edgelord undead elf b-i. Give me an undead human to relate to, I don’t care if it’s Calia or Voss.
