How bout some battle standards (like the ones we drop for exp), and some other stuff based on guild achievements? Obviously I want a permanent guild bank on my lawn, but I understand blizz wants us in cities.
Yeah, I don’t know what “guild decor” will look like. Assuming a guild hall someday and our job to decorate, I’d be curious what the designers give us. If you are a ten-year guild, will you get a ten-year banner – somehow, I doubt that they’ll reflect the individual guild’s achievements.
Banner type stuff like tabards is probably not a big ask at all.
Guild achieves is a problem as personal decor. Guild Rosters change. People got achieves in other guilds different from the ones they are in now. If you can join a guild and get decor based on an achieve you didn’t participate in, that tends to go against the general purpose. Losing decor if you leave a guild is a real bad taste in anyone’s mouth. I think that’s too many problems.
Guild halls having all those things shouldn’t be an issue though.
I could see hanging or standing banners, like the ones already in game (banshee queen/ornate cosmic banner), with the guild colors and logo (like a tabard, with a basic (dyeable) frame). But I’d want them to revisit the symbols first. They look like they were made in MS Paint 20 years ago. ![]()
It could be just like the guild vendor swag. Require a certain Reputation with guild.
I don’t doubt that such a setup could function. But I think they are averse to something like this. Time will tell.
I mean, it’s even more structured than hood hopping Endeavor vendors. Light forbid i get the guild activity from someone getting rep for sweet rewards.
In pandaria garrison’s there are banners at the front of the main building displaying the race of your garrison guards. There is an NPC inside the main building who will recruit that particular race of guards once you reach a certain level in your garrison. I realised this is not exactly what you are talking about but it’s kind of an example of what it could look like.
There is also an item from the guild vendor that you can install in the Garrison to display guild banners all over. I’d be fine with banners on my house lot, or even all over the neighborhood, should that become an option.
