Yes, some guild masters will set up a toon on their account specifically to function as a guild bank. Other guilds will have a treasurer that is in charge of guild funds and mats.
My guild calls it a quartermaster. Tomato tomato…
Our guild had a website. You tell the banker what you’re bank alt was housing if it was for the guild he put it on the website and people requested things. He would send you an ingame message about who wanted what. If you weren’t online you got an ingame letter.
It’s quiet for now, give it a couple months until things start disappearing from guild bank alts and it’ll be back.

When were guild banks added?
The guild bank will be an alt the officers of your guild all have access to which they will store mats on. It may break TOS but it is what everyone did in Vanilla and they added guild banks to stop it in game. They chose to not add guild banks so shared alts it is.
