Guild Banks Pt. 14

They know there is a discussion, they also know there are discussions for LFR. They just don’t take either seriously. Im sure we will hear news of guild banks in the coming months. My bet is its a no.

Which none have ever gotten to 13x500cap 6500+902=7402 and counting posts either.
You must be relatively new to the Classic Discussions forum or willfully ignorant to these facts.

You should visit the old forums and read the previous 13 before you form your opinion and comment. Thanks.

You really like to call people ignorant. Probably because its easy to dismiss peoples opinions that way. Iv been here since the start. I made this account more recently in preparation for release(im dualboxing). I am well aware how long the request of guild banks to be added has been going on and I do not agree with it.

I said it before and I will say it again.

Every one of the “pros” for guild banks has a corresponding “con” to counter it, even if you choose to pooh pooh, dismiss, ignore or try to hand wave those “cons” away.

With one exception, almost every “con” against guild banks has a corresponding “pro” to counter it, even if people try to ignore, dismiss, pooh pooh or hand wave those “pros” away.

The one “con” that cannot be “countered” is the fact that guild banks were NEVER part of vanilla. Guild banks may be more convenient that guild bank alts, but that is one of those warts that comes with “vanilla, warts and all”.

You can continue to pester Blizzard in the hopes that they cave and give you this one of your pet non vanilla QOL covnenience changes if you wish.

I will be here, also. I will be here asking Blizzard to provide a truer classic experience that is as close to vanilla as orcishly possible. I will be here to ensure that Blizzard does not confuse a lack of continued objections with apathy or acceptance.

The biggest difference between many of the advocates for guild banks and myself is that I will accept whatever decision Blizzard makes. That is not true of many of the pro guild bank advocates.

IF Blizzard were to make a statement that guild banks were going to be added, I would accept that. I would not like it, but I would accept their decision.

Most of the biggest advocates for guild banks, though, have already stated that even if Blizzard were to announce that guild banks would not be added to Classic, that they would continue to pester Blizzard to give them their non vanilla QOL convenience of guild banks.

I’m sure that Blizzard knows that guild banks were NEVER part of vanilla, adding the non vanilla QOL convenience of guild banks to classic would not be as close to vanilla as orcishly possible and that vanilla not only survived without guild banks, but thrived without them.

As you yourself noted, it is primarily the same few people posting on either side of the debate.

Two of those advocating for guild banks are known trolls, which account for over 120, or over 13%, of the posts in this thread alone.

The two biggest advocates of guild banks make up over 130, or almost 15%, of the posts in this thread alone.

That is almost 30%, well over a quarter, of the posts in this thread alone being from 4 advocates of guild banks, two of whom are known trolls.

Those 7402 posts don’t mean all that much when it is primarily a few people on either side “debating”.

Right so if we hop on our alts like some around here do those numbers wouldn’t look like that.

Everything else you just said is just your standard copypasta.

Edit: seriously do you type that out everytime or do you have templates made for every discussion?

The previous 13 aren’t all that much different from this one. Some people are for, some are against and most agree that we’ll play Classic either way. Add in a generous helping of sarcasm with a dash of blind dismissal of opposing views and the thread is summed up.

Which I’ve linked, btw, and people ignore it.

I don’t think there were actually 14 threads. I think there were three or four and someone started “Thread 14” as a joke.

The blue said nothing more than that they were listening to all opinions about what people wanted out of classic. And the no change crowd jumped all over him for not falling directly behind their no change agenda.

This is exactly right.

I’m still trying to understand how some of the no-changers instantly call any post seeking changes to vanilla a troll post when we know blizzard is seeking input.

Because people want to squash the discussion, and put anyone with an opinion other than their own in a bad light.

Heh… someone started a new guild bank thread to try to kill the conversation in this one.

What conversation? There’s no conversation. There’s no reasoning with change trolls. Never has been. Never will be.

I thought these threads maxed out posts in the 500 range and here we are

Seems like people are still polarized on this topic, bliz is just gonna have to make a call. Hardcore nochangers might not sub if there are guild banks but people who get royally boned by having some bank alt clear out the guild might rage quit if bliz doesn’t ban/return the items

We have infinite scroll now. The old cap was 500. Which this topic maxed out quite a few times.
Now we even have another repeat topic on the same discussion because some no changers wanted their own special echo chamber thread.
We are showing them the error of their ways as we speak.

If only there were some way that people could actually take responsibility for themselves and protect themselves if they felt they might get “royally boned by having some bank alt clear out the guild”.

If only there were way, like maybe storing their items on their own characters.

Oh, wait…

If only people could see transparency in donating to guild causes.
If only there was a way…
