Except it really wasn’t. Some people were confused, but we went back and looked at the actual thread, and Vrak was responding to someone who derailed our thread with a comment about their warbank. He was clearly responding to that person and looking at that.
We had to read the entire thing though, just taken out of context it looked like he was talking about someone’s guild bank but he really wasn’t. It was both our fault for not reading the entire thing and just assuming, the fault of the person who derailed the guild bank thread with warbank stuff, and I can even say Vrak could’ve been more clear at exactly what he was looking at.
The item in question that he said he could see was Sandworn Relics, which should’ve been a clue, since those cannot be put in a guild bank. That doesn’t excuse the complete lack of response in this thread though.
I was not confused.
It was posted in the GB thread and apparently Blizzard got confused – so that is on them, not me to communicate clearly. Which they haven’t communicated clearly or well.
A little “sus” that they are saying this in a GB thread on classic – seems way too easy.
Now I’ll have to take time out today and login to my classic acct to see if things are ok over there… Something told me I should remove everything over there as well but didn’t’.
Nothing returned to me and checked my classic GB toon – will be removing anything of high value from that GB to personal bags and then create a few more GB Toons so I can just start using personal bags instead.
and they always will be. nothing blizzard can possibly communicate will stop people from speculating, making up theories, and picking holes in every word of blizzard’s communication to explain how there’s something they’re just not telling us and it could all be fixed easily but _________
Steve from Gamer Nexus will call out any company, even using his own money to recoup through his merchandise store and revenue on YouTube channel. If a company does a gamer wrong and if he thinks it will be worth it, he might voice a concern over what happened at Blizzard.
In our case, we speculated because there was no communication. If they had said from the start that we may not get the items back after the bug was fixed, then this whole thread wouldn’t even exist. It was even mentioned in the original Bug Report thread that we are left to speculate because Blizzard won’t let us know what’s going on. We were all milling about, wondering where our stuff went off to and if it will come back. All ticket responses said to hold tight and to post in the Bug Report forum, so we did.
If I remember correctly, all non ticket Blizzard communication was done on the EU forums and had to be linked here by other players. Thank you again to those players who did so!
This whole thing was so poorly handled, we have every right to be furious.
I’m in the process of going through all my various banks, warband bank, character banks, etc, and selling any materials I can on the auction house, working on the assumption that the gold I get, which is going to be spread across various characters, NOT in the warband bank or guild vaults, is going to be safer than the materials in various banks etc, especially with repeated glitches and the potential upcoming changes to character banks too.
If I need those materials in the future, I’ll just have to buy from the AH or re-farm.
I have no trust any more in anything. I’m not buying anything off the store anymore, even during a sale. There’s no point, if it’s likely to go “poof” at any moment and then be gone forever.
I’m still playing WoW … I have a subscription that’s not due to expire until 2026 (part my own, part a gift from a guildie) … I still enjoy the game and playing and interacting with my guildmates … but the shine has gone off it.
Hi Blizzard. Remember me? I am the GM to the guild Unbound. The guild that you stole all the contents from the guild bank. Hackers used to be banned from the game. Yet you are still here.
Just wanted you to know I am still here. Still letting everyone I know who plays this game what a rotten thing you did to so many players.
We got a secondary post confirming questions and clarifying that the issue had been resolved. Beyond that, we’ve not received feedback on the feedback, no.
Many of us got no mail at all, no items, no “we’re sorry”, just told to come here for feedback, met with a resounding wall of silence.
A single post here, stating it’s over and apologizing would have gone a long way.
But here we are, a post full of pissed off paying customers, and you. I feel so warm and fuzzy regarding Blizz now…
Some of the responses still did last I tried. Which is funny because any new threads on the issue are still getting locked left and right. Part of me wonders if the lack of communication isn’t just a problem we’re having, but every department of Blizzard isn’t talking to each other about this either. The devs and GMs and customer service and community managers and quality assurance (if they even exist anymore) are all operating on different wavelengths so everybody is just being quiet and passing the buck.
