GUILD BANK BUG: All BOEs are now BOP

I have not removed the items, as they are going to bind on whoever touches them, but I guess I was an idiot for putting anything in here since you wiped my GBank at the start of TWW.

All BOE Armor in my GB is now sitting in there with the description: “Binds when picked up” Since it is impossible to add BOP items to a regular GUILD BANK, I know this was not my doing. I am now unable to remove them to sell on AH, or trade to others.

So much for assurances that the guild bank can be trusted now. These items were placed there after your “fix”.

It’s not all boe armor, and the reason isn’t because of the guild bank. I don’t know all the armors that were impacted or for how long, but I know for a fact that tier 1 belts/bracers were physically changed as items from BoE to BoP.

To be clear, these are NOT set pieces of any kind, just regular old BOE.

I’m just going off what I’ve seen in my own guild bank and then asking for more information to change my outlook, but fine, help yourself.

I said from the beginning it effected all, you said it did not. I can see my GBANK just fine and can tell you IT IS ALL.

Working on the vain hope that Blizzard do actually read these posts … it might be worth listing (perhaps with a wowhead link?) a few specific examples? Then they could check their system for those items and work out what happened. It might be that certain BoE items had been converted to BoP deliberately, or by accident (Blizzard have done both of these things in the past with previous items).

I’m assuming that not ALL BoE everywhere has been converted to BoP or there would be more posts about it, so it could just be that (a) you’re more observant than most and/or (b) you’re unluckier than most :stuck_out_tongue:

*Edit - Actually I’ve just checked out our guild vault. There is very little in there now due to Blizzard stealing everything a while back … I have one item in there, https://www.wowhead.com/item=224639/expeditionary-chopper which … when you search for it on wowhead BEFORE going to the page, shows it as BoE … but when you click on the link for it, says it is BoP …

I then removed it from the Guild vault and placed in my bags … and it changed to a different item.

Started off being Expeditionary Chopper, ilevel 545, 1518-3154 damage, 790 Agility, 3942 Stamina.

In my bags, it changes to Expeditionary Chopper of the Harmonious, ilevel 561, Explorer 2/8, BoE, 1762-3661 damage, 917 Agility, 4239 Stamina, 292 Versatility, 389 Mastery.

Placed it back in the vault and it changed back again. So yes … Blizzard visual bug. Unfortunately it also means that, as with pets, you have very little way to know exactly WHAT the item is, until you take it out. It seems to retain the armor/weapon type, but mine at least increased in ilevel and stats. It’s like it reverts to it’s “base” item when placed in the vault.

So have you checked your vault? Are yours all okay? Because this looks very much like the Battle Pet bug all over again (which hasn’t been fixed yet)

Thank you, you are correct!

It does appear to be a visual bug in the GBank. The warbank ones were not a visual bug, and showed as Soulbound in the bank. The WBank “soulbound” items did bind on withdrawal, so I was hesitant to try again in the GBank.

Please report as a bug in-game as well - I’ve done it, but the more people who report it, the more chance it might get looked at. I’ve also reported the battle pet bug too for the guild vault, as I suspect they may be related and I can’t remember if I reported that previously.

haha this is a new one for me …

Previously I’d linked THIS thread in another CS forum thread on the EU forums about the battle pet cages because it seemed like a similar issue (ie, a visual thing that went back to normal once you took the item out of the vault): https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/bug-report-guild-bank-missing-items-again-and-pets-showing-only-as-cages/547855/16

Someone else raised a new thread on the EU forums, essentially raising the same issue as this one, ie, the BoE’s showing as BoP … and a Blue poster has replied to them saying:

Linking that thread … so essentially the CS rep has linked my response as the “fix” haha

Perhaps I should start charging them an hourly rate, as I’m doing their job …
