Guild achievements revisited

Honestly I hesitate to post this as I posted a few weeks ago about solo play and had the community jump down my throat. I’m just throwing out ideas here.

I wish blizzard would really revisit and invest in guild achievements. Change guild rep into a renown system. Have tiered rewards. Cosmetic items, pets, mounts, toys. Not just the usual ‘clear x raid/dungeon with your guild’

What about a guild reward for completing like 500,000 world quests? Then 600k, 700k, etc. every increasing achieves and rewards for crafting items. Pet battle achieves. Guilds could not just have raid nights. But social nights where they work on pet battle achievements for both themselves and the guild n just chat on discord.

I’m not sure if it exists, but what about a server ranking for guilds with high achievement scores. Sure it’s all epeen. But it could be another aspect of the game for those of us who like this kind of thing.

I was so disappointed when they killed guild progression. New features in WoW are like new items on the McDonald’s menu. Don’t get too attached to them.

McDonald’s has nothing over Taco Bell.

Today I can buy a burrito and tomorrow they’ll delete it forever.

Back to the OP though. Maybe this is controversial but I have a lot of achievements with this guild and previous ones. It would be nice if I could demonstrate somehow an account wide display of my previous exploits in guild groups.

I haven’t really done any of them honestly since legion.

In other words I think players individually should bring a certain amount of prestige with them into any new guild.

Rather than being treated like a brand new player.

Sort of like a credit rating for WoW players.

Guilds have sadly become disposable currency for the WoW community and it’s been that way for years… what I’m ‘fussed’ about is that they recently upgraded the “Stay Classy” achievement to require level 70 and dismissed previous credit unless the race portion was entirely complete. Our guild had… 2 classes remaining and now we have 1 race complete across the entire achievement… that’s highly frustrating…

There needs to be a higher ‘need’ for Guild loyalty nowadays, and bringing back some standalone perks to guilds would help with that, though would likely just turn into the usual, “I’m a completely new player with no experience but I want a mythic raiding guild that has three teams running all the time, which obviously means that because they have three teams I’ll be able to raid… right?.. right?” situation. The community wants rewards but most aren’t willing to put in the effort for it… just look at most of the events in the open world, even so early into the expansion… you have a half dozen players standing around waiting for the reward without contributing
