Love my templar, but i want to also understand why people still play herald, so im looking to see if anyone has any guides.
Herald does more cleave and sustained dps with dots/burns.
Not going to win the burst war generally and there are much better classes to burst with like enhance/war/hunt/mage so herald is better to draw it out w/ your natural utility and mitigation.
Follow vanguardsttv and ask him questions, he only plays herald.

Templar’s in PVP poor performance stems from a bug that has been mentioned by multiple people but ignored by Blizzard for eternity
Because when you play against LOCK/BM/DKs or any pet spec, you lose all of Empyrean Hamme’s damage
it will always attack the pet and minions that can never be killed.
Empyrean Hamme tend to be the highest damage source for Templars
so ours templar can only be used to face a lone enemy/ or a specific combination of your 3s…

I dont think this is a bug… just a very bad decision/oversight by blizzard. EH priority being pets and summons is just LAUGHABLE.
