Hey guys! So 9.0’s most promising and exciting feature to me is the new mentor program in game! I am so so excited for this feature that it’s not even funny. My favorite thing to do while leveling alts is help those in my group who might not know dungeon strats, or where the quests turn in, pick up, or lead to next. I adore helping and teaching all of the new guys in Wow. I’ve loved and played this game for over 15 years and I’m so freaking happy that they’ve finally allowed us a better way to connect with the new guys.
I’ve also been successfully running the Discord for the Classic Wow Server Atiesh, and it’s been a lot of hard work and fun. We’ve had a ton of new players to Wow entirely who joined just to experience Classic and it’s been amazing helping those guys out.
So here we go!
We’ve built up a Discord (Brand new! Fresh!) to extend the Guides Program outside of the game. We can’t always be online to help the new guys, and sometimes they can’t always be online to ask the questions they think of in the middle of their work day! Most of them won’t be versed in Addons, and might have an easier time finding Resources outside of WoW via links, other Discords, etc.
We have a role for Guides and a role for New Players. Guides can be pinged for questions and such, and you can opt in/out at any time.
If this is something you’re interested in taking part in to expand this amazing community driven feature, please feel free to join up and start guiding! To help direct new players to the Discord, feel free to share this same Invite Link into the NewComer chat in game!
