more or less… what helfers actually wanted was a new high elf race for the alliance, the anti were agaisnt it because that doesnt make any sense.
the new customization kinda gived high elves to players, but lorewise that still makes no sense, i actually made a post about it, i think the silver hand might join with the blood elfs, blizz will pull something to justify idk
Yeah I would agree and say it’s a tie - Everyone wins here.
Wow.
They got a tiny cosmetic option that shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place. But some people whined that because of some NPCs that means that the alliance owned that and turned it into a talking point.
You havent heard the last of this!
shakes fist
They’ll have to get over it.
Alliance Elves are Void Elves or Night Elves
Horde Elves are Blood Elves or Nightborne
End of story. At this point people would be fighting over a title.
I wouldn’t call it a victory. I want a HElf Paladin on Alliance side. Cosmetics on Void Elves doesn’t give that.
As for this or that race on either faction… Honestly, make everything like Pandaren.
For Alliance Races, Anduin sends a detatchment to help the Horde/Baine recover from Sylvanus. Or someone was impressed after working with Lor’Themar. Void Elf didn’t get kicked out and stayed with his people, etc.
For Horde, some disgusted with multiple bad WarChiefs seek out Anduin and what they see as better. HElves were already there. High Mountain and Highborne who recognize Alliance Assistance during Legion, etc.
Make it a choice for everyone, have fun with it. Won’t hurt me or my ability to enjoy my faction just because the other side gets the same toys. I didn’t cry when Horde got Paladins, why would this bug me?
High Elfers: “We demand playable High Elves as an Alliance race, with their own models, racials, mounts, and appearances! Nothing less will do!”
Blizzard: “We’re giving Horde Blood Elves, Alliance Void Elves, and a bunch of other races new customizations and eye colors.”
High Elfers: “Hey! One of those eye colors is a shade of blue! WE WIN!!!”
Unclear what we’re discussing specifically but the OP indicates we can stop seeing the endless spam of whiny HE threads.
+1 for whatever if that’s the case.
blood elves druids, void elves paladins… yeeep, the storm had already begun
Except now we’ll see the endless spam of whiny Horde players asking for the changes not to make to final release.
Probably, no shortage of tears around here surrounding almost any issue
I got my blue eyes so this is fine
^
Already seen whining and complaining that they STILL can’t play the high elf that they want. As far as I am concerned this just gives further incentive to whine and complain.
This isn’t a victory or a loss in my book, it is a mess.
sips on my human skull filled with tea the chaos is calm for now but soon the truth will be seen that the chaos will return once again and it will be “this isn’t what we asked for” I as a servant of sylvanas will enjoy every second of it
Alleria is a high elf that turned void elf. It made more sense that void elves should have been originally high elves, but you can just say high elves are learning to harness the void as well since they probably won’t be recruiting from the blood elf numbers.
This is what we call community support
If you have a strong community behind it and are consistent you will get it eventually .
You need a combined support to get anything done in this game.
i dont think anyone was against helfs just everyone kept saying we already have high elfs so technically we won they got it exactly how every said would be the only way
Wait, I’m confused. Is this a win for the pro high elf side?
Just yesterday I saw pro helfs going off about how blood elves and void elves aren’t high elves. Isn’t this more of something like Blizzard kind of going “nah they’re the same. Just pretend”.
I mean, I’m cool with it either way, but just a thought.
I think it was fine.
Some people really care about the RP in mmo-RPg.
Not sure why it took so much begging to get a new skin-tone and eye-color and just call it a day.
Then again half my toons are fully covered in armor and not even clear what race they are. … so it shows how much I care.
Now we can work on something really important like adding frostborn dwarves so I have the full set, lol.
