Kind of but not really… I’ve been against adding more elves to the game, but was in full support of customizations which is the way Blizzard has gone. To me that was the win/win

Inserts picture of Sylvanas saying “You won nothing” This goes to show that if you think you won and you got exactly what you wanted, you proven the anti high elf people right this entire time. You wanted a carbon copy of blood elves, not the silver covenant high elves. That was just something you guys made up to deceive the community of your true desires which was the carbon copy of hordes most favorite race.

Most people don’t seem to realize this is just a net loss for everyone. Instead of getting an actual High Elf story we are stuck with the void elves who are really just literal blood elves now because blizzard is still out of touch with the Helf and Anti-Helf communities. Nobody wins.

Not going to change much i think.
They are still void elves, not the ‘original model’ high elves that people wanted, or the lore tweaks for them. So it will still be any lore being void elf flavored.
It’s just a momentary calm before the storm continues.

Given that the people spamming the forums had explicitly demand a playable High Elf race and rejected mere customization options that kinda looking like High Elves, I don’t think it was a draw.

Yeah, if we can even call it a full calm. I think it’ll explode for the next few days and then quiet down before people are upset again.

It’s a compromise and a better one than what Velfs were. People are happy to have a better compromise and they are taking it as a win instead of whining as a loss.

People were hyped for void elves because they thought it would be a solution to High elves. It wasn’t. It was just momentary hype. People will realize that this isn’t a win for anyone very soon.
