People have way too much faith in “balancing” after this logic has failed time and time again. The whole point in rehashing old content and old set bonuses is to do AS LITTLE work on Dragonflight as possible.
They want to be working on new expansion stuff. so yeah if people pick the most OP set and not the must theoretically interesting one, that is probably fair
this is a joke vote. Everyone is of course going to choose season 2 as bear was part of the god comp at that time.
I prefered season 3 over season 2. Season 3 makes use of one of our cd we use all the time and makes it stronger… the set bonus does ton of work and is more effective than people give credit for. its also very easy to use
Season 1 played around mangle and it was 50/50 on if it was helping or trash
Ah i thought i had read somewhere about S2 being SPriests time as well before their nerfs.
Now my question is: which dungeons do we get? Is it going to be strictly Dragonflight Dungeons? Id be okay with that. But s2 tier wont be of much help as DF dungeons are riddled with magic damage and poisons and bleeds.
I agree with this. I actually like the season 3 bonuses, but they need to be tweaked and improved. I like that it provides more build options (but also because GG was fixed). Biggest issue I’ve seen is that the shield is either completely overkill, or goes away way too quickly. It never feels “just right”. Easy to improve with a few things, like tying it to get the builder from rage on T&C procs for a full 40 rage value, and for reduced rage spent like during incarn.
I honestly like S3 bonus for bear, but with the nerfs it feels like when we don’t have it up we get squished hard. When edge cases mean it gets wasted or we can’t charge it properly it hurts. Voted S2
4 piece, at least the 15% health after stacking from maul/raze should have just been baked into bear. The damage was nice, but season 2 set fixed my largest complaint about bear in this expansion, that we didn’t feel like the big hard to kill tank that we should feel like.
Stacking health/armor/raw mitigation was always bear’s theme, but outside of season 2, it always felt like I was just playing a piece of glass shaped like a bear. Time to live with hands off the keyboard was probably an order of magnitude shorter than it should have been. But that’s the case for ALL health pools imo. It’s a core problem behind both tanking and healing, that 100 to 0 is measured in seconds.
Game would be dramatically improved if health pools were vastly increased, and dying was a slow sinking beneath the waves from poor balance of short but inefficient vs long and efficient healing/mitigation. Dying because my frenzied was locked by global, feels extremely bad, compared to deaths where I simply ran out of resources, and I realized too late that I burned X or Y too early.
All these people thinking s2 set was anything special is crazy lol, the damage and hp loss was gained just by ilvl avg 62k dmg from maul in s2, avg 104k in s3. 1mil hp full buffed in s2, 1.4mil unbuffed s3.
the problem with s3 tier is it doesnt work with ursoc’s fury + being capped at 25% dr from attacks. which makes it worse the less damage you take (low keys), forcing you to stand in damage if you wanna get any gains from the set.
the change made it so bears can handle doing minute pulls with rage of the sleeper, but it fails to be good because it doesnt work on fully absorbed/mitigated attacks from the shield you get because of ursoc’s fury, defensives and matted fur.
I hope everyone here realizes that if S4 dungons are magic intensive and we lose our S3 for S2 we’re absolutely screwed. Like, reroll your class levels of screwed.
This. S2 wasnt great because it solved our magic damage issue. The dungeon choices for season 2 lost a lot of magic damage, so we were better off than season 1 and everyone praising season 2 is attributing that to the tier set when it wasnt.x
S3 is the best as far as overall mitigation goes being able to play GG with Raze + massive Rage shield.
Im assuming that s3 is going to be all original DF dungeons at the same time since we havent had that yet. And theres lots of magic damage in DF dungeons
