I have an issue on my Worgen Guardian Druid where large mobs will constantly reposition themselves by moving back and forth, even if I’m not moving at all. Sometimes they will even work their way 180 degrees behind me if I let them. Does anyone else experience this or is it a bug on my end somehow?
It’s a known issue with the bear model in general. No solution that I’m aware of, just got to accept the suffering.
Ah, ok. Well, at least I now know it’s not just me. Maybe Blizzard will fix the issue someday. Has it been this way since Vanilla or is it a more recent issue?
Druid forms have had issues since vanilla, some of which have been corrected but many others not.
Blizzard also denied that they existed, for the longest time. Like in the old days, when you shifted from bear to cat your hitbox would change and everything would reposition. Blizzard denied this was the case so people started posting videos of it and eventually it was fixed.
You can actually do a lot of shenanigans with bear form on an overly large monster. My favorite is if you go to Vale during non-raid-week, during the Mogu invasion event, and then you fight the Mogu boss at the end after filling the bar. He’s a real hoot, you move just an inch and he starts wandering all over the place to try and reposition himself.
This isn’t entirely unique to bears, either, although we have it the worst. Psychus, for example, is notorious for just randomly wandering around back and forth when you reposition him, on any tank.
