Guardian druid mage tower made easy

So would it be more benifical to go into legion dungeons on my bear and get the heroic or normal blues to gear in?

I feel my SL gear might be gimping me

Got my skin after about 25 attempts. Actually, I died at 2% and my dots and Velen finished him. I feel the hp of the adds are bit overtuned and dps is a bit undertuned but that could be because we had borrowed power helping us out in the original. Either way good luck to all going for the skin. Definitely worth the perseverance.

Yep :grinning:! Kruul had about 400 hp left and luckily I was able to kill the horrors before dying so he could live long enough to let my dots tick.

Is it the vendor gear or from Legion timewalking I keep seeing cromie time tbc loot talked of. And what about just normal or heroic legion dungeon loot to solo farm try to full set that? Iā€™m a bit confused with multiple directions.

It is not solo farmable, you need a friend lvl 44-45 and you spam tbc dungeons with their xp turned off and phased to chrome time.
They trade you loot with sockets and you put in old gems to inflate your stats with scaling. I could be wrong, but I know Thereā€™s a wowhead article with all the info!

Two things. Thanks for the detailed post, hoping I can farm this later! Tried yesterday and was starting to get the hang of it again (did it originally). Also, grats on the r1 title always good to see an arena player!

Been practicing this strat a little bit, itā€™s quite different from what I recall doing it back in legion as I didnā€™t ever go boomy. I just went in with my basic WQ SL gear and didnā€™t use any consumables. Iā€™m initially just getting used to the mechanics again and working things out a little, then Iā€™ll maybe farm some gear and use consumables.

Itā€™s the nether horrors that are the biggest problem for me, which I seem to recall was my biggest PITA originally too. I think I have to pay more attention to when theyā€™re casting Nether Storm as thatā€™s what always gets me. Itā€™s maybe tuned a little high on the difficulty side, but I donā€™t feel like itā€™s out of reach if I work at it for a bit. Only spent about 30 minutes or so last night, but I definitely made progress.

Just wish it was up for more than 2 weeks, thatā€™s probably the biggest challenge for an old man like me. Just when I get close Iā€™ll probably run out of time haha.

Solid guide but many players arenā€™t stacked high with PVP gear

Thanks for the thread, keeping an eye on it.
So I guess I need more prep time in getting Legion gear that has sockets? What do you recommend, farming TW regular Legion dungeons for the gear, not mythic runs?

I canā€™t seem to finish it up. Keep getting to around 6-8% but thatā€™s it. :frowning:

Before second infernal??? Man, thatā€™s gonna be tough for a scrub like me lol. Gratz

I donā€™t think itā€™s required! The biggest thing was the BFA consumables. it was 5-10% extra damage from the flask/food (and slands oil, armor kit, and augment runes) and the unbridled fury did 9.7k out of kruuls 67k hp. So thats like 15% hp from a single potion!

^See above, are you using consumables? If youā€™re that close, then you can 100% get it, just need a pull with good RNG or a smidge extra damage somewhere

as far as I understand it, itā€™s NOT legion gear. You want the mists crafted pvp gear or bc chromie levelling gear because then its scaled perfectly with legacy enchants and mainstat gems. The wowhead guide explains it a lot better than I could!

I did the chromey time walking thing where I go and save the dragons and all that jazzā€¦ Is that what set youā€™re talking about

Nope! and you cant solo it afaik, there was a wowhead guide on how to do it.

here it is!

Greatā€¦ I canā€™t solo it

you cant solo get chromie gear, no. You CAN solo farm and craft or buy the crafted pvp gear and gems, though, which is about the same! However, neither is required to complete the challenge!

Solid info and at this point Iā€™m desperate lol.

That is with consumables, yes. I canā€™t get him below 6%. I can consistently get to the 6-8% mark but I canā€™t get past that to save my life. Pretty frustrating, especially since I did this back in Legion on week 1. I feel itā€™s harder now than it was back then because of the damage requirement.

What trinkets are you using? I saw some people use the cyclotronic from mechagon and that was like 12-14% of their damage by itself!
