Guardian Druid DPS

Any suggestion on how to do better DPS on Guardian Druid. They do extremely far less damage then any other tank spec.
It’s getting buffed next patch. Even with that we’ll still probably be the lowest dps tank. There’s also very little druids can do to up there dps.

Having said all this, your best bet is to ask in the Druid channel.

PvP Trinket: Vers - Agi increase on-use (2 min CD)
Harlan's Loaded Dice

(Dead-Eye Spyglass is another decent option)

This is what I'm using atm and my damage definitely isn't bad, but it could use the buff for sure. There are ways to make it work for now for people who aren't just lazy and would prefer to cry about it.

I am talking about getting Guardian damage up to what other tanks can do. Guardian DPS is far lower then other tanks.

TBH I don't think they want Guardian to be in the higher ranking when it comes to tank dps. If they did, something would've been done in Legion, but they were consistently in the lower end.
I am doubtful that guardian druids will be quite viable for rest of the expansion :(

The problem with Bear Guardian DPS is I thrash 3k non crit damage; i Mangle 3k non crit damage, i auto attack 2.6k non crit damage , moonfire 900(2100 proc hit damage), pulverize loses 2 charges of thrash for 9k damage…losing two charges isnt an issue but then it comes to a simple rotation missing something with a major attack power enhancing cooldown, so assuming a 1.5 sec gcd

your rotation is (im not saying open with thrash but since thrash is the most important to my dps as a Pulverize spec which provides higher single target damage and higher 4 or less target DPS along with 3% more mitigation over blood and rend)
0 Thrash
1.5 Mangle
3 Swipe
4.5 Swipe
6.0 Thrash
7.5 Mangle
9 Swipe
10.5 Swipe
12 Thrash
13.5 Mangle
15 Swipe
16.5 Pulverize
18 Thrash

AND ALL THESE DO THE SAME DAMAGE EXCEPT FOR THRASH DOT AND PULVERIZE and PULVERIZE requires a 18 second ramp up then a 12 second ramp up each following time… and instead of giving druids a skill that actually modifies well like Mangle used to in the past they give us nothing while the other tanks have the following moves which are higher modifiers for attack power in the same slot.

This is only analyzing one skill but the others lack luster too
Druid: Mangle 6 sec CD 40% atk power
Warrior: Shield slam 80% Atk Power 9 sec CD
DK: Runic Strke(provides 60% atk mod Marrowind(provides bone shield and damage 40% atk mod)
Pally: Judgement 12 sec CD 112%
DH: Fracture 120% 4.5 sec CD
Monk: Blackout strike 3 sec CD 62% atk power

So the issues with Guardian is not being properly Addressed in 8.1 with 12% alone that is going to bring the base up but still doesnt change the efficiency of DPS thus a bad tank gets better and a good tank is still limited to subpar tank DPS

Just to save you guys some time armorying me Im Ilvl 381 basically the best I can get until I get a better guild higher than 2/8 Mythic or get lucky in M+

Are you talking single target or AOE because AOE we are ok I feel I can hit 30k+ on some aoe pulls my single target is pretty bad but thats my fault I dont maul enough.

I have not mentioned Dps numbers at all; yes you can reach 30k when you have like 10+ mobs…but I have not mentioned actual numbers for a reason but every single move druids have to use do basically the exact same base damage with gear… thrash swipe identical minus the dot… mangle same base damage moonfire damage initial junk then dot ok; then give us a free 300% initial moonfire which actual damage is not worth the GCD…basically druids are a class that basically anyone who buttion mashes can do 90% as well as someone who tries to optimize their rotation; which is not the way the game should be; and our modifiers are completely out of proportion with other tanks is what I am saying; and I want to know who’s idea it was to give Death Knights a Res… now what makes Guardian tanks unique? The answer is nothing.,… why use a Guardian when DK has battle rez and anti magic shield and bone shield and a move that does an instant heal that isnt capped at 2 uses in 2 minutes or as a passive heal over 3-4 seconds… and does over 18%…

Lol piss off, do you even play this game? Have you seen Bdk dps? Youre the worst kind of scrub, stop ruining the forums.

This is the feeling of many people. It’s pretty sad, because there are changes blizzard could do to fix this issue.
