Can we make incap roar not break on bleed damage, for feral spec at a minimum? Also it would be preferable if it didn’t force you into bear form.
it would be incredibly busted in pvp
so no
Please define “incredibly busted” in regards to PvP.
I’m excited to see his answer on why it would be busted as well. My guess is he thinks the bleeds that occur over 3 seconds would be enough for someone to drop from 90% health to 0.
not breaking to bleeds/dmg over time is equivilant to a stun
it would be completely abused in arena to chain cc on a kill target or cleave multiple kill targets followed by more cc / stuns
cant happen
So the damage application would be “busted”, not the shifting into Bear form in your opinion. I can’t argue pro or against that until they start doing damage tuning.
I think the shifting to bear form is a bigger issue because it eats gcd’s thus negating the effect of the roar. It is a nerf to the Druid.
It also stops us from zipping around in travel or cat form and picking up quest objects while disorienting the mobs so they can’t interrupt our channel while picking it up.
The forced shift to bear form is absolutely a nerf.
cc that is essenetially a stun (because damage doesnt break the cc) is very bad
theres a reason why fears / hex / etc have a very low damage threshold to break because if they didnt it would be busted af as you would layer those cc’s into hard cc’s (stuns, etc) and pepole would flop left right and center
not an issue at all
Not disagreeing with you on damage not breaking the disorient.
This is huge and makes the Roar useless if it forces Ferals/Balance/Resto into Bear form. If you get the Roar off and not break it with any damage you have a GCD applied for shifting to bear and a CGD to shift back to you previous form which takes up 50% of the disorient.
i may have misread you should be able to use it in any form or off global or whatever
i cant remember when exactly we had it a few xpacs ago but you had time to clone off it etc
but yes if you dont have time to chain cc off it then its poopy most of the time
So make it a 3 sec fear, or make it clear dots on players. It’s just garbage as is in SL.
actually its insane for rdruids in pvp
we get it via guardian affinity its a free layer of cc
literally everyone will be playing it and abusing it
and in pve (like m+) it will be equally disgusting because it will be an aoe interrupt
As always, the sun continues to shine out of Resto’s butt, while feral & guardian suffer.
yeah i really can’t speak on those 2 specs but for resto its over the top in m+ and pvp
plus we get clone and overgrowth baseline with a few other buttons
This is the ongoing pattern we keep seeing though, which we’ve been discussing so much in several of these threads lately: Giving things to “druids” is actually just giving more to resto, at the expense of feral & guardian.
Which is dumb because resto is by far the most played spec already, and is so powerful in things like M+ and Arena that other classes complain about it all the time.
But Blizzard continues to design the entire Druid class around a philosphy of “Resto First, Resto Always” and screws over the other specs. Not simply by neglect, but often through outright damage to them, in the interests of making Resto better or more interesting.
In Shadowlands:
“Druids get Cyclone!” - except feral & guardian can’t really use it
“Druids get Heart of the Wild!” - except feral & guardian have no use for it
“Resto & Balance get feral & guardian abilities!” - hmm… not a very good exchange, here, at least for feral & guardian
This is important!
Need Cyclone to be cast in form, or simply replace it with utility we can use.
Heart of the Wild, again, pretty terrible for Guardian and Feral, especially when we have an entire tier lost on the very same utility it encourages.
At the very least, roll it into the affinities, but that’s honestly dodging the issue.
Feral and Guardian utility need to be intelligently reconsidered in what they can use effectively.
And the brez from cat form needs to be fixed. If it’s a matter of ability budget, have it cost energy.
This is in the OP. Yes resto is going to be strong with this. I don’t see why resto is allowed to set up clones while feral has to just tunnel damage. Even with PS clone in the past it’s not like feral was undisputed god of the arena.
You will have an easier time stopping a feral from cloning than a resto druid, that’s just silly.
Who cares if it puts you into bear form. It’s a whole extra interupt.
Skull bash = interrupt 1
Might bash, = interrupt 2
Main = interrupt 3
Roar = interrupt 4
Skull bash ( again ) = interrupt 5
When we had ps clone in wotlk we also had the john madden rotation for feral. Funny enough it was the most fun I had in pvp.
I do. Guardian affinity should be more than 1 frenzied regen and an interrupt. It doesn’t even lock people out lmao.
