Meanwhile affliction is getting heavy buffed in PvP and didn’t need to get buffed. My class is looking garbage in 2v2 unless I play with a rogue. Even then its going to be worse on Nov 7th because locks and tons of other classes are getting buffed and completely revamped. Our revamp was a slap in the face and argueably frostbolt spec is even worse because we have no rune of power. Lmao.
Frost mage is in a pretty great spot in PvP imo. im having so much fun on my mage.
Exactly what kind of buffs are you looking for?
I don’t want to play glacial. I would drop ray of frost, glacial spike and Icelance for 25% frostbolt damage all day.
I don’t think 25% frostbolt damage would make up for that.

I still rather have 25% frostbolt damage over glacial but that maybe too much. Maybe we can keep ray? I absolutely hate glacial spike. Though ray is a gimick and does actually rediculous damage sometimes. Currently playing frostbolt spec and frostbolt is top damage every game. Frostbolt hits about 10-20% harder than icelance if you spec into frostbolt and not icelance. It depends on how many slick ice stacks you have though; but its literal C tier as compared to glacial with splitting ice.

No Haste, 2.5 second frostbolts are boring asf.
Frostbolt spec was built around rune of power, as icy veins lasted roughly the same amount of time that your rune was out.
Sure. That doesn’t excuse all the crying that was done about it. I also never saw any notion of only frost mages wanting to keep it.
I like how it is better now for sure. I’m just upset frostbolt doesn’t at least do 10% more damage than it currently does. They nerfed piercing cold for PvE and it screwed frostbolt mages over.
