Does anyone know if the addon called GTFO will also break when Midnight releases?
Hopefully. Maybe learn to play
Bro just donât stand in bad stuff, thatâs the first thing WoW ever taught you
I hope not. Iâm color blind and I rely on it heavily. But seeing how many things are going to be broken /removed, I donât think Iâll be playing anymore.
Sounds like it tells you to get out of the fire during combat encounters.
If so, yes, itâs probably going to be nuked from orbit.
Exactly! I have depth perception issues, this combined with all the spell visuals going on, I cannot always tell if I left a toe standing in something, or if that puddle is starting to slowly expand. I donât know if I can play well without this addon.
dont stand in the its everyday bro bad stuff.
England is my city
This is the type of response that lets people know you donât think about anyone elseâs needs past your own experiences. Itâs not always about, âbeing bad.â Itâs about accessibility options for differently-abled people. GTFO is a great example of this. People with vision disabilities and neurological disorders canât see a blue puddle on a slightly different blue floor, or even a red puddle on a green floor. Even the Blizzard color blind options are extremely limited. Blizzard incorporates 3 types, but there are numerous sub-categories that arenât accounted for. If Blizzard doesnât create their own GTFO that anyone can use, the elimination of that addon will make it so tons of people canât play.
Thatâs not counting the nearly infinite accessibility options that WeakAuras provides.
Thank You! Well said!
I donât get mad at posts like that, though, because, at the very least, help bump the thread so that someone with real knowledge (like you) might see it and respond.
Yes. My friend, they wonât even allow raid notes. The lulz have won out, itâs joever.
I use GTFO and the annoying âbeep beep beepâ tells me to move, even if I donât immediately know why Iâm moving, so thereâs that.
In the video I watched yesterday, the game is adding âcombat warnings,â so I hope blaring audio comes as a setting with that. 'Move, dummy" is appreciated.
I watched a vid this morning from the maker of DBM, he said bliz is trying to work it so that they donât break raid notes and such.
Unfortunately, yes. Unless more changes to the addon APIs are rolled back, Blizzard has completely broken it in Midnight.
If it helps you do combat, itâs on the chopping block.
Itâs pretty much that simple. If the addon needs to actively be watching and looking at things happening in real time combat situations to do its job, itâs going to be DOA since it is being cutoff from their ability to do that.
What does GTFO do? Oh it tells you when youâre in something ouchy which is a combat thing meaning itâs not gonna know or be able to tell you.
Changes to allow raid notes to remain have already been announced.
