Man, I’m super hyped about this game. When you look at the quality of Red Dead 2 and recognize that it was made for the PS4 (and MS equivalent console), it’s going to be exciting to see how amazing a game can be when it’s made from the ground up for the current gen consoles

No doubt. The writing and feeling of the game will be wrongthink’d out of existence and all focus will be on the online portion and microtransactions.
The most fun I had on GTA was San Andreas, and everytime I play GTA 5, I just cruise around on my bobber motorcycle, role playing… stopping at every red light and lane splitting for fun lol
I think they’re all good games, but as the series aged they made it so cops would respond in greater and greater force, which kind of meant that you were discouraged from having fun… in a video game.

Meh. And i sure do love gta but this version just isnt getting my hype level up.
Not a hope in hell, last gen hardware can barely run the newer GTA Online updates, they simply couldn’t handle a current gen title.
GTA online is finally getting animals too and Yusuf from Vice City is back. Though I don’t get WHY the players need Yusuf when Simeon exists to steal cars and you also have a CEO business of stealing high end cars…its like they totally forgot about all that?
They really didn’t care when GTA5 ran awful on PS3 they still released it since they are about money which means releasing it on old hardware. They have seen companies like Square Enix for example release FF16 exclusive to current gen and despite being one of the highest selling titles that is exclusive to next gen they say they are disappointed with the sales. So they have seen the sales of other companies that do current gen only and they aren’t good.
Take Two is not going to lose money by not releasing on last gen which a lot of their casual fans have.
I actually own shares in Take Two Interactive, so it’s not like i don’t want them to make a boatload of cash on GTA6, i just don’t think that a studio of Rockstar’s calibre is going to hamstring their most ambitious project by trying to develop a modern GTA game for hardware that’s over a decade old.
