Social media sensation Grumpy Cat, whose famously cranky feline face made millions of internet memes around the world has died.

The American celebrity cat, aged seven, passed away on Tuesday this week in the arms of her mother, Tabatha.

The famous cat’s family from Phoneix, Arizona, announced her death on Instagram on Friday, with a statement that said Grumpy Cat died after becoming ill from a recent urinary tract infection.

it seems like from what i read she probably had a kidney infection. a cat can go from normal to deathly ill in a matter of hours when that happens.

I had a cat that was 2 years old that was fine the night before and in the morning couldnt get up. we brought it to the vet and spend over 1.5k in bills and he still died.

sad this happened.

While it’s sad when any pet dies, I can’t say I’d like to see dev time wasted on a tribute to a cat.

Mind you, I was never a fan of that rubbish anyway, let alone cats in general.

I used to dislike cats a lot myself, but then I got one to deal with a mouse problem and I love them now, couldn’t imagine myself without one going forward.

He was always so great on his wow vids, honest yet not negative. Him and BRK were always and always will be my favourites of all time.

We really need a tribute of him, top hat and monocle included!

Wouldn’t mind a tribute myself. Note that this wouldn’t exactly take much time, as it could be as simple as adding 1 regular cat somewhere in the world with a special name or descriptive text.

He did a lot to get people into the game and the Blizzard community pre-MoP. He had the right to criticize the game and Blizz, even if I didn’t agree with it some of the time.

I support this. It wouldn’t take much effort or time either. She deserves a tribute just as much as any person or other animal. She gave millions the gifts of joy and laughter and there are few greater gifts. She was special as all our little animal friends are.
