Group Loot in LFR is awful

So yeah, group loot in LFR is awful. Also, the rules as stated by blizzard should not allow players to win need rolls on items that are a lower ilvl than what they already have equipped. This has not been the case. Also, loot distribution needs to be more equal. One person should not walk away from an LFR instance with several pieces while others get zero.

let’s break this down:

group loot in LFR is awful - agreed.

the rules as stated by blizzard should not allow players to win need rolls on items that are a lower ilvl than what they already have equipped - unfortunately not all upgrades are higher ilvl. Trinkets for example are notorious for carrying over.

loot distribution needs to be more equal. - sadly it cant be. the players who don’t need loot will pass more. the players who need more loot will need more often.

We had a conversation about this in another thread. Someone was bugged and they couldn’t roll need on anything. They assumed it was because their PvP gear was a few ilevels higher.

Basically, the point being that people looking to get PvE sets, transmog or different secondary stats or BiS trinkets would get screwed.

So no, hard disagree. That’s never been the case with PL, so it shouldn’t be the case now.

Y’all seriously need to move past this childish mindset. If someone gets lucky with rolls, then so be it. Learn to be happy for them, instead of trying to get loot taken away from them.

I just roll Need on everything

RNG is RNG, the only thing thats changed is how ‘visible’ the RNG is now.

Sometimes you won’t get anything, other times it might rain loot. Last week I didn’t win a single roll even after clearing all the fated LFR bosses. then earlier today I wound up getting 2 identical daggers off the same boss, since no one else rolled need on it. gave the second one away for xmog. and 3 more pieces over the course of the raid.

thats just how it goes sometimes.

Group loot 2.0 is still being improved / worked on so expect some unintended stuff.

Neither of the things OP mentioned are “unintended.”

I dinged 60 on my shaman last night, did all the raids today and got 11 pieces, not including my dinar item. RNG is RNG.

The point is folks play the game to have fun. Getting gear and increasing in power helps increase the fun for most players. Being happy for others at ones expense might seem commendable to some people but that feeling is not for everyone. Spending weeks not getting upgrades for a game you pay and play for fun–well obviously is not going to work out.

That’s the spirit keep on needing :+1:

The other two buttons gonna be useless to click. Might as well just have a need button.

and at that point, its just back to personal loot, but feels worse when you lose the rolls.

Wait, do some people really believe need/greed is better for LFR?

Might be rolls for mogs too.

Trabsmog is a character progression. People do LFR for transmog.

Will be able to maximum the size of the ‘Need’ button in the new UI?

The fact that you don’t see this as a problem is alarming.

The entitlement from OP is sad.

Imagine throwing a tantrum over LFR loot :joy:

Yes.

It’s alarming some people don’t realize the main difference is you can now see the rolls instead of them being invisible.
