Can’t wait for this to be reported, or flagged to oblivion, but:

Blizzard should just remove Group Finder. It’s not being used for groups these days, just advertisements, and attention seeking carries.

This week alone, and yes I’m aware it’s only Tuesday, I have been knocked back from probably close to 100 keys. I am by no means a low ilvl, and have these keys on farm.

Raid is “you need to have done the raid to get into a group”.

This is no longer World of Warcraft, this is World of Job Applications. You either get straight up ignored, or knocked back.
You need experience for the raid/job, but you need the raid/job to get experience.
It is now legitimately useless.

”But OP, just make your own group”
Ah yes, the generic “I have never played WoW before response”. If I work on an alt, and list a key, i am lucky to get 1 applicant after 45 minutes. Lets, for arguments sake, they stay around, we average 3 hours to just MAKE the key. The run is shorted than the look. I want this to sink in, because I know there is gonna be so many extra chromosome arguing facts here.

Last time I attempted to make a group for raid, the most common response I got was “just get into a guild”. Yeah, lemme just get into something that doesn’t exist. They either die off after a few months, are social and don’t do any content to the point of what’s even the point of playing the game or are unbelievably toxic, they make toxic waste lands look safe.

I can easily farm higher end keys, want to do a push, but it is hard as all nards when a almost capped toon can’t even get into +2s.
I want to raid, but the only way to raid nowadays it to just pay for a carry.

What happened WoW? Why’d you get so……. trash? Why’d you get so trash and be proud of it?

No sir, it is not. As for the rest of your op, find a guild you vibe with. That will improve your experience significantly. If you find that all of them end up being toxic, look at the common denominator in those situations and try a different approach. There are plenty of good guilds out there.

weird, this never happens to me.

no but seriously, join a guild. find one that raids on a schedule you like and see if you mesh with them.

don’t feed me any bull about “there are no guilds” because I know for a fact that’s a lie.

use the recruitment discord to find one. it’s a far better tool than the in-game guild finder which is trash.

I use it each week on my alt for quick delves and other activities.

Is it full of the things you mentioned? Yes, it is but people do actually use it for groups.

I think MicroBlizz’s solution (my understanding) is at best nonsense. It equates it to; they did something for appearances only.

So you first complain about your main, who can make their own group… but then move the goalpost to “muh alt,” because you dislike the fact that you could make your own group?

for the raids I guess you’re just SoL .. for groups for dugeons and what not, just go in to the filter and set minimum IO to 500 or whatever yours maybe and it pretty much removes all the WTS crap since most are level 1 alt trash toons for 3rd party garbage sites. If you want to weed out the raid channel the same way there are several addons that will do that for you. forum crying is not going to help and they will probably never get rid of all the trash 3rd party advertisements.

This just told me how the post is gonna go.

You can’t mention toxicity and then talk like this btw.

and there are plenty of guilds you can join that Raid/PvP/M+/Delves. You just gotta stop complaining and do something about it. There are Discord Servers. There is Guild’s of WoW, hell even Trade Chat.

Doesn’t hurt to spend your time waiting in Q to go and find guilds on any of those options.

Oh, and let’s not forget application peeking.

Where if someone sees you as a carry, they leave, making things harder for you even if you made your own group.

Group Finder works.
It’s just toxic af.

I get AOTC and 3k io through premade finder well ahead of the average player and guild just from pugging everything.

soloing delves is a far more enjoyable experience then having to deal with people

npc followers is the future of the game, eso,swtor and ff14 are proof of this fact, followers have been a thing since wod and only recently has blizzard to take notice of such a killer feature

That’s why everything should have a auto queue. This literally eliminates advertising in the finder. Players can still do manuel groups with friends and guilds if they want a customized specific group.

The solution to this is just to put keys, normal, heroic, and mythic in the raid finder and trust the system. I expect you don’t want to hear that, but I think it will be fine.
