It’s whatever is the range of the spell which is targeting who it’s protecting. So no fixed limit.
I think the question is:
What is the radius of protection afforded by grounding totem?
Like how close does a party member have to be to it to get the grounding totem redirect effect?

Ah I see … I think it’s around 15 yards .
Seems to me Blizzard needs to clear this up a bit because it’s hard to position perfectly in arena if I don’t know if my grounding will work lol I’ve always felt that the range is a bit too small.
It’s 30 yards.
