Wish there was an @target

Like a macro to automatically drop a Blizzard (for example) at your cursor without having to click the ground?

These abilities are such an annoyance that I avoid picking them in the talent tree. That said, depending on the ability, you can use an @player and it will drop it where you are. I tend to use this a lot with melee characters because, I mean, my target is right next to me any way. I add a mod condition that lets me target it when I need to.

I wouldn’t recommend at player macros because you wouldn’t get max usage from ot cantered on you. Thinking about my eflo here. At the most you could put an @player on an alt bind or something I guess for when you do want it.

One of the more annoying things about retail design is the insistence that you WILL like whatever they think is a good idea, regardless of how bad it actually is.

I’m surprised they haven’t made everyone a turret with ground clicks in their rotations. Maybe they actually aren’t as confident in their design as they would lead you to believe.

That’s basically the only way to make it work. If your rotation involves a ground click like ele shaman does, then RIP.

I think ground clicks are fine for pre-combat things or CC even but in DPS rotations that’s a big no no. Somehow Earthquake has survived since Cataclysm. It’s time to end that reign.

I don’t really find them that intrusive. If you are wanting to get rid of the press to cast then press to place then use @ cursor but It’s no biggie imo.

Figured. That’s why I mentioned it as part of a DPS rotation. If you’re stopping DPS to do something then it fits. If it’s actually part of the rotation it’s a clunky mess.

That’s my position on it.

All they have to do is add @target. I don’t know why they refuse to.

Because they don’t want to. They think giving spells like Earthquake a @target allowance is bad design. So their idea of good design is to do the opposite of that.

Yeah. The same people who think pathfinder is a good thing. Who think mandatory WQs are a good thing.

Just one of these days they’ll do the opposite of what they’re thinking and retail will be popular again.
