Is anyone else getting this bug?
No matter where I go I can't mount. The tooltip on all my mounts say "Ground mounts not allowed here." When I try to summon them, same warning comes up. Did a reset, and same result. It just started happening today.

Yup. Anywhere in Tanaan, I can't mount.
this annoyance just happened to me. first just next to great father winter, so i walked all the way out of ironforge. still get this annoyance. reloaded UI standing halfway to Kharanos. still the same error. had to alt f4 the game an log back in for it to gtfa

not sure if it’s the same kind of bug as yours but 3 times across two characters I have the bug where I can’t mount in mountable areas outside of combat and it says “you can’t do that yet”
relogging, changing characters, changing zones, changing specs, going in/out of instances, etc. does not fix it
Thank you! Just encountered this error all of a sudden in Dragonblight and was able to access mounts again perfectly after executing Alt+F4 and re-launching.

Bug is selective. Didn’t see it on any other characters in the same location till I logged into this Gobby DK. Left my garrison, no positive results. /reload ui, nothing. Logged out and back in, FREEDOM!
Also, the comment about being near Great Father Winter, that’s an auto-dismount for EVERYONE. There are other locations like that too.
Just had this happen to me.
Did the alt f4 and seems to have fixed it.

Was never fixed obviously. Started for me in IF near Father Winter. Relogging worked for me, but it’s been 2 years Blizz. I’d think this is low hanging fruit. Oh well.
No, im not getting it as a bug, im getting it because im in some area that they deem mounts a puzzle breaker. This is fine, and all… except that the restriction persists for literally minutes and miles outside the area they wanted it to, and its mind numbingly fustrating.
I just wanna get back to civilization ok? ive already completed your stupid puzzle, and want to get on with the game.
Tanaan gave me this bug today.
Alt F4 like the others above have said has fixed it.
Get it fixed Blizz this has been going on for a very long time.
Log out and log back in.
I got that when trying to get on my mount in Stormwind.
I was like, “Why do you hate me my faithful horse?”
Mind-boggling that this first happened in 2018 and the bug is still around! does anyone actually fix bugs at blizzard?

I came here to make this same comment! I was mounted, flying around in Ashran and then all of a sudden got dismounted and can’t remount.
Well, this is still happening. Although logging out of the character and back in fixed it for me.
Still happening, I just encounter this bug in Suramar
It’s Back! May 16th 2023, Igot this today at Iskara in The Azure Span. I am pretty sure it’s because of the auto dismount beside Big Kanook. Three times tested, three times succeeded. had to Alt+F4 just to be able to mount again.
I am very…pleased…to announce that this bug still isn’t fixed. Tried to fly away from the timewalking vendors and got dismounted, couldn’t remount no matter how far away I moved
Fortunately a simple log out and back in fixed it, didn’t need to completely close out of the game as others have reported before
