Dude, I understand your point of view but you gotta understand Grong’s.
HE developed the machine, he knew what was going to happen and he knew what he signed up for, if the gnomes had use it on a horde prisioner or whatever, this would be considered evil, but the person(or rather, monkey) that developed it volunteered for it because he wanted revenge against the horde for hunting down his people, it is not that hard to understand.
