He is master on not getting hit
You think a guy who can survive 3 wars and kill 2 extremely powerful beings, all while shirtless, is somehow lacking in the skill/not getting hit department?

I love Chen but…I’m not liking his chances against Grom. I think Chen would make it interesting for a bit, but it would end much like Taran Zhu vs. Garrosh ended.

I’m legit interested in how Garrosh v Taran Zhu would have gone if Zhu didn’t get his foot-stuck. A weakened Taran Zhu managed knock Garrosh off his feet with a punch, something Thrall couldn’t do. Heck, Garry shrugs off getting hit in the head twice with the Doomhammer.
I’d assume the outcome would be the same, but it’s fun to think about.

I think if taran zhu wasn’t severely hurt he would have won against garrosh.

The opinions in this thread show that people view Monks as the weakest class in the game universe, not Warriors.

While i believe warrior isn’t the “weakest”, i do believe people underestimate monks in lore a lot.
Since monk is the only class that has peak physical performance on top of a magic system.

I think Grom would beat Chen in a chips-down deathmatch, but realistically Chen would probably have the wisdom to know he can’t defeat Grom alone, plus the agility to escape alive.

There is no “weakest” class. Its all relative. A Warrior killed Cenarius/Mannoroth/Onyxia/Wounded Sargeras/did a bunch of other crazy stuff.
I think the problem is a lot of people view warriors as just a guy with a stick. They’re not. If we were to compare classes to superheroes, I view warriors like the Hulk or Captain America no they aren’t shooting lasers out of their hands or teleporting around, but they’re stronger/faster/tougher etc and that allows them to be just as effective. Plus magic armor/weapons.
As for monks, they simply lack the same amount of known feats of the other classes, so its a lot harder to get a read on them. At least the other classes introduced later in the game, the DK and DH, had significant lore characters and history behind them before they were introduced. The monk was kind of cobbled together out of some somewhat disparate themes and hasn’t had much development since Pandaland.
Don’t we know the answer for a while now?

Grom Didn’t defeat Cenarius on his own, people saying this are annoying. He had a whole raiding party of fel juiced orcs doing it with him.
Honestly, I am going with Chen. Chen rolls with Rexxar.

He pretty much defeated Mannoroth on his own, though, which is even more impressive.
I like Chen. But he doesn’t have the same c.v. as Grom. What big name has Chen defeated? Taylor and Nazgrim are not exactly in Mannoroth’s league.
