Grobbulus Horde vs. Alliance Ratio

Since we don’t have any official numbers regarding the Horde vs. Alliance ratio, I’m curious to see what faction you all are going to play as? I enjoy RP and I enjoy PVP, and as an Alliance player I’m hoping things will be pretty balanced between the factions. According to this Reddit Server,

https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/cug357/world_of_warcraft_classic_server_demographics/

Grobbulus appears to be very balanced, but obviously those on reddit, or the WoW forums, aren’t representative of classics entire player-base. Still, it will be interesting to see where things end up now that classic is live.

So, what faction are you all playing as?

I’m Horde!

Feels very balanced to me so far. I did run into higher level Alliance a lot quicker than I thought, so it feels like the Alliance might be leveling up a little bit faster, but that’s probably just bias off of my personal experiences xD

Horde have Shaman. I think that says it all.

Using the census addon i used my wifes account to idle and run.

Times checked are all server. Noon to 3 server, then 5 to 7 server.

Found 5.2k alliance and 2 almost 3k horde. I didnt think to screenshot it though.

As a side note though, the forsaken starting zone had far away the most general chat.

Omg that sounds … quite unbalanced

I filled out the census survey a few days ago. I’m Alliance of course and it actually seems quite balanced to me.

I’ve run into swarms of horde out in the world also layering can influence that add-on too I bet

I’ll purge the data on my addon and run it again, if anyone reads this horde side and wants to download and run it also that would be appreciated. I’m using CensusPlusClassic.

Wouldn’t layering screw up any attempts at making a Census with that addon anyways?

The answer is simple: the faction you play on is always the less populated.

I was worried it was gettinga little too horde populated… I am glad it’s balanced…

Idk Horde has just been completely decimating Ashenvale… Yeah, I’ve seen alliance try to gank around… but they fail miserably and are outnumbered.

The quests kinda blow for alliance in Ashenvale tbh. The distance between quest objectives and drastic level requirements make it far inferior to redridge/deadmines/wetlands.

There was a lot more Alliance than Horde in Ashenvale when I quested there 3-4 days ago.

But that’s just it lol. Personal experience doesn’t exactly give us a clear view of how things truly are. And layering makes the point even more moot.

It could be that more Alliance are higher level now, so Horde have taken Ashenvale since I was questing there. OR, it could simply be that my layer had more Alliance than Horde, and your layer had more Horde than Alliance.

Until Phase 2, until the dust settles, layering is gone, and the population has stabilized, we really can’t tell just how Grobbulus is going to be in terms of balance.

layers need to go bye bye

Its wierd though. I run into more horde in contested zones than I do alliance. Its like you guys all huddle together for warmth or something.

Certainly, if you’re on kalimdor you’re far more likely to see loads of horde in the early contested zones. The opposite is true in eastern kingdoms

With the way layering works, server balance is less visible, and often misleading.

And hillsbrad, STV, and Arathi from what I’ve seen. It’s hard to tell with layering, but I’ve almost never not been outnumbered to hell.

Its definitely the effects of layering. Hillsbrad, STV, and Arathi have been full of Alliance every time I’ve gone to those zones. Heck, Hillsbrad was the first place I got ganked by a dwarf rogue named Boat who was hanging around Hillsbrad Farms at level 38 or something while we were all still level 30 lol.

its roughly even, people using those counter addons while we have layering are kinda dumb lol
