I don’t know exactly what “low” indicates, it could be bugged on Blizzard’s end for all we know.
This being the only RP-PVP on the game, having a community fight to bring it into existence is enough to know that this server will not be “low” population at all. It’s discord is quite big along with it’s Reddit page. I’m predicting it will be full on launch.
It’s hard to guess. At first, all the servers got to high in less than 10 min except 3 that were medium and then, after ~20 min they all dropped to medium and low. So I guess that they can easily scale up and down the server capacity. I just hope that high won’t mean a queue.
thats what i said too, grobb and bsb are the only 2 of their kind, theres no way theyre gonna be low pop, moon guard alone on live is one of the top and it’s 1 of like 10, the rppvp on live tho are pretty lukewarm but theyre pretty old and forgotten about, relics as old as classic itself
WAit for more people to login as it gets closer to release, not everyone is gonna sub to join grobb early. It’s a RP pvp server, a special server so it won’t be the same as the others.
Just the QUEUE for name reservation on Herod was over 10k, and if you logged in and out, it would be almost the same so I feel like it has to be in the tens of thousands.
I wouldn’t count on those numbers, though we’ll see. I remember how popular grobb was talking about in the thread and our discord. Also people outside of the forums knew about rp pvp and wanted to join. Just wait.
At the worst, we’ll have one really good rp pvp server while others are trying to sneak in a 2nd server that they can’t quite fill (like bloodsail)
Does it matter right now? surely those numbers are only showing people logged in creating toons then logging out? not people hanging out in character creation for hours on end.
the 1st server I logged onto was high, 6 minutes in queue, the next was low, 11 minutes in queue. Apparently High/low populations is not as important as high/low numbers of layers.
Here’s the thing, I don’t think the server login was working properly on Grobb and one other server (I forgot which other one I tried).
I could could log in to Herod and get directly into queue and 3 of the other servers I could just get into the character screen within 2 minutes. Grobbulus, I had to wait almost 30 minutes to finally get into character creation just from trying to log in. I think a lot of players were having the same issue. Pop will be fine, if not massive.
Linking to probably the most negative post I made there, sigh =P
Oh well.
Yeah the logins to the world server period were difficult and they defaulted to atiesh. They’re still open so people can easily join servers now. We’ll see what happens now. I just logged in and deleted myself, recreated and made myself the way I wanted. . I have a name that no one is gonna take so there is that, but it was no problem just now.
