Grob or atiesh

so im finally joining classic on the alliance side to change it up from my retail adventures. i’ve been looking either at grobbulus or atiesh both a pst server that line up well with my abiltiy to raid.

can anyone tell me about them is one better in terms of pve pop wise they both are pretty close baed on ironforgepro

I’m on Atiesh, it’s been busy since launch. Folks are at various stages of raid progress. You can definitely find a home here.

Grob here, very balanced server. Lots of world PvP. Big name guilds fighting each other. We cleared all known raids in two days. Fantastic server, very much alive.

Grobbulus is super fun, great balance, cool players on both factions, ally side I see adds for raids quite a bit, and there aren’t super long ques. Longest one I was in was a 47 person que. 10/10 realm.

i think the only thing atiesh lacks is the wpvp being a normal server. what im really looking to do is just get back into the raiding game and help on ppl gear there toons in 5 mans for raids thats why im going with a warrior tank. but i figure ill have to go fury for raiding sense most guilds have tanks

You should be able to find a raid spot as a tank, even if you aren’t main tanking.

I am no warrior expert, it’s one of two classes I haven’t really played, but I’d imagine a prot/fury hybrid spec would allow you to do both dps and tank.

Grobbulus 100 percent such a lovely and welcoming community and it fun sometimes to respectfully sit back and watch some roleplay events.

Plenty of people still making new characters on Atiesh. I’m finding several players online in starting zones even at odd hours.
Same goes for Grob. I have a lvl 16 druid that I’ve been leveling there and Darkshore chat is alive.

There’s a pretty big difference between the two servers though. One will allow you to be ganked randomly in contested zones, while trying to level professions, or trying to enter higher level instances/raids. Is that something you’re wanting? I main on a PvP server but I admit that leveling on a PvE server is super chill and that’s exactly what I want sometimes

I’ve leveled both Alliance and Horde on Grobb. It’s an amazing server.

Did you delete your characters of the other faction or do you have two accounts?

Deleted then rerolled. Used a second account to transfer funds via neutral AH. I wanted to keep my Vanilla CE pets when I moved factions.

i understand what your saying about ganking but in the end it goes both ways lol some times i might want to just go out a smack some lowbie. my major concern is really just having the ability to catch up and run things like ubrs i misss that place. and maybe make some friends and havea fun loving guild

Please do not go to a RPPVP server if you have no intention to RP. Grobby already has too many of that sort. It really should not be on your short list if you are not a RPer.

the rp doesnt seem to bad some events were kinda interesting just to walk in on plus from what everyone says on the server itself you can take it or leave it rp wise your not forced

My point is that you as a non RPer are targeting a RP realm to roll on. It is not a Renaissance Faire for your entertainment, it is a server set aside specifically for RP. It really should not be on a non RPer’s list.

yeah some rp on and some don’t but if you want to rp go for as long as you dont pull that moonguard crap idc i might even join in

don’t roll on grob if you don’t intend to RP

Grob pvp scene is chaotic, and littered with trash talk, and drama.

It has nothing to do with moonguard. It has everything to do with players not giving two :poop:s about the actual server rulesets. There are only a small handful of RP servers, and a ton that you can roll on that are not RP. We fought long and hard to get even ONE rppvp server, and for non RPers to now jump on them is quite frankly insulting.

I moved off of Grob, it was fun and funny for a while. But once I started to do dungeon runs, I ran into a lot of mean players. I had a guy slander me towards my guild because I rolled need on a staff (I was also a mage). That for me was enough to gquit and server transfer once and for all instead of putting up with it over and over again.

That’s just my experience with Grob from alliance side of things.
