I have 50 gold and am about to be lvl 40. I need 40 more gold for my mount. Where is the best place to grind to get a ton of gold quickly?
If you can find level appropriate turtles that’s a good way to go. Humanoids aren’t bad either with converting silk to bandages to vendor.
I have mining and herb on my alt, he is lvl 35. I use a cast sequence macro, can just google it, I have made 100g in the past 5 levels alone just selling what I gather.
Also, download gatherer addons (have to get the data too, it’s a seperate download) so you know where all the nodes spawn, toggle to mines when your near where they spawn, ect. Crazy gold with a bit of setup
I started from zero 3 times in a new realm. None of this times I had any problem having 80g at level 40. Pick a gathering profession and just herb/mine as you level. I would even advise you to go dual gathering, as crafting profession dont do anything for money or leveling.
just keep leveling. i didnt get my 60% mount untill lvl 51
Fish up a bunch of oily blackmouth or deviate fish. If your fishing and cooking are high enough, go to STV and get a few stacks of greater sagefish and cook them, its a decent Mana/5 buff food that cheap people buy instead of nightfin. Server dependent for prices, but blackmouth go 8g/stack, deviate are all over the place for price but always sell, and the sagefish delight is 3-4g a stack, but easier to catch a lot of.
If you don’t have a lucrative farming professions leveled, farm the rock elementals in badlands. Greys vendor for a good amount, you’ll get xp, and elemental earths.
Just a quick side point, if you don’t mind a couple levels without a mount (you do have aspect of the cheetah after all), quests start paying better, mobs start dropping more. So the pace can pick up on its own as long as you’re not blowing a lot of what you earn on spells you don’t need. (Example … my hunter foolishly bought all the spell resistances for his pets. At level 38, they’re not even needed for anything, but you can’t unbuy them.)
Oily Blackmouth fishing in wetlands, or herbing for swiftthistle in sub level 20 zones can get you some decent coin.
Although I would just grind mobs til 40, you will get a good chunk of change from that.
Cooking Jerky with Gerky, tonight at 9EST on UHF.
If they are camped by guild X, do a /who to see the other lucrative spots that guild lives at.
Wool sells for about 1.75 g on my server and can be farmed efficiently off the furbolgs in Ashenvale.
In my case my professions are LW and Skinning, which don’t net me any real profit right now. That’s when my main rolls up to the mailbox with 70g and
I ran stockaids
I was going to suggest the same thing: fishing. It’s quite possibly the easiest way to earn gold in the whole game. You don’t need to be a high level, whether you fish for trash fish and vendor them, or you choose to go after fish people actually use… it’s just easy. You only need a bit of patience. But take a look at what sells on your server and go after that. Some popular fish are Deviate Fish, Greater Sagefish, Nightfin Snapper (the latter tend to sell the best).
Also, before vendoring any trash fish, cook them. You might only get a few extra copper or silver for them, but in time it adds up.
My professions are skinning and leatherworking. Not very profitable. I’ll look for the Earth Elementals in Badlands.
If time isn’t of the essense, you can level fishing. Some things will sell on Ah, other things you’ll vendor, and sometimes you’ll get chests with random goods
Your auction house can very – check it out. before you spend too much time.
For example, on a new server I usually mine, since Copper Ore/Bars sell for 1 silver or higher. But I recently started a Horde on Pagle, spent a couple hours farming Copper, then couldn’t sell anything. I’ve been trying to sell Ore and Bars there for 4 days. My price is the lowest, but nobody ever buys any.
At level 35, you can max out any crafting profession (to 300). You have to find recipes that sell well at your auction house, but it’s another option for gold-making in the pre-level-40 range.
