GrimRail Depot TimeWalking 2nd boss is insta-killing the entire team

The 2nd boss has been 1-shotting most the party in an alcove after about 15 seconds into engaging him. Those of us who fought this boss during WOD don’t recall it as problematic for 5-man teams. Something’s wrong with this NPC. He needs addressing if this Dungeon is to remain in the weekly random timewalking LFG., because if he remains in the state he currently is in, players will contact to die and get fed up and leave, resulting in a rotating few new players who come in, die once and quickly learn why they entered a dungeon already in progress, and are more likely to leave after one bad nasty instant face plant, quick to thinking it is all the original party’s fault, and no time to ask or care if it was indeed the fault of an overturned Boss, they didn’t see the four or five attempts of the origin party who they replaced that at first, chalked it up to a fluke, but then, their gear went red.
At this point, getting the Grimrail Loading Screen is equivalent to getting a debuff for abandoning an instance.

Developers, Please let us know this NPC is having problems, and that the issue is indeed not working as intended.

We found that the solution to this problem was to have the tank run through him to face him away, and have everyone else stack behind him. The moment he turns, run THROUGH him to avoid the orange circles of death.

That said, it’s CRAZY that there are one-shot mechanics in a Timewalking dungeon. The first boss’s Mad Dash was also over-tuned and one-shotting tanks even with cooldowns active. We found the only way to push through that fight was to have tank and healer cooldowns active for Mad Dash, or plan to have a battle rezz ready.

Again, it’s crazy for Timewalking mechanics to be so punishing… especially when the rest of the dungeons were so comparatively easy. It honestly felt like the dungeon just wasn’t scaling properly.

I was like, damn, something actually caused to take damage for once! Other people often times thanking me for “the carry”.

Cata TW still has “generic Cata” one shot mechanics, but I don’t even remember this being a one shot mechanic in its prime.
