Exactly. I have no clue where this idea of limitations so clearcut is coming from, because it’s never been the case in lore even after the cosmologies were defined. Naaru are beings of Light that eventually cross over to become creatures of Void and vice-versa.
Not created by Titans though.
That’s more along the lines of Remove Corruption (That just so happens to be specifically a Balance Druid ability)
Same thing as above. Remember, the Void sees Elune as an enemy.
Remove Corruption again.
Cleansing a form of corruption by no means says that you have power over that form of magic.
Again, you are assuming Elune doesn’t have Order power, so you concluded that Tear of Elune is not of Order origin. Do we have, say, at least any npc said that the origin of Tear of Elune?
It BECOMES guess, if you want to believe that Elune don’t have Light power.
But I agree that there is no reason in arguing this, cos it’s about beliefs.
And you are ignoring any other Elune powers cos you are obsessed with Natuer power of Elune. I told you that your Druid logic is false.
What Xalatath told us about Elune is her own words, and even if it means Elune is against Void, doesn’t it make Elune more like Light power? you know that the opposite power of Void is Light.
And as far as I know, “Cenarius being Elune’s son” was just a speculation of Night Elves in Chronicles. is it not? (not sure about this part. anyone?)
Edit) Oh and I think the power that Night Warriors are using is Void. But this is matter of interpretation, so. Just so you know.
Yet still given by them.
Undoing demonic corruption has not been seen in-game in any other instance other than this instance with Elune so no
We have not seen it otherwise in game, of a being undoing Void corruption. We’ve only seen Reorigination where a Titan construct bases being becomes a robot again
Remove corruption isn’t a psychopomp power
Did any of you know that Lady Moonberry the Winter Queen’s Soulbind is an Arcane user?
There are also quite a few Arcane Elementals seen alongside the Spriggans…
Both Elune’s servants and the Winter Queen’s creations use Arcane…
Boggarts aren’t explained, but they aren’t Arcane Elementals. They turn into what you fear and serve Muehzala.
Yes muffin, but that doesn’t mean that the different magics don’t interact or mimic their variety, nor does it mean that a being that is part of the Life pantheon would be so limited. The source is… arbitrary at best, in terms of what can be done. And there is serious crossover especially in the Winter Queen’s case due to her being part of the cycle of Wild Gods, beings of Nature, returning to the living world.
Again, everything we’ve seen Elune do, the Winter Queen has also done in some form, or via those favoured by her who bear her power. And since Life embodies, well, most living things, one would assume, an older and more powerful sibling to the Winter Queen of that pantheon would logically be able to do a ton of stuff.
Also, I addressed her being able to transform a satyr back into a night elf. I mean, it’s a silly sticking point because we’ve seen shapechanging constantly by other powers, but the Winter Queen grants an ability literally called Soul Shape. Also the Light has undemoned something too, if you might recall.
These aren’t Boggarts… They are Arcane Elementals…
Minor hex? Sounds Trollish/Loa like, a power from Mueh’zala?
Undoing a demonic soul back to a mortal soul is unique
No other member of any Pantheon we have thus seen can affect, use, or control all six Cosmic Forces
Nah, Lothraxion is still described as a demon. He’s a Lightforged Demon but a demon all the same.
Those are books of magic from the Night Fae library that got loose because Spriggans invaded the Night Fae archives. They’re enchanted books, not Elementals.
Y’all need to read things with more scrutiny, and watch more lore interviews
Spellbooks with Arcane Energies… Them combined with the various fairies who use Arcane like Lady Moonberry how can one say there is no Arcane in Ardenweald?
And you’re assuming she does. So until we have confirmation on that fact I’m not going to even act as though it’s a point to be made.
Khadgar himself admits it’s a wild guess. He doesn’t know. If we’re going to use this form of thinking, I could just go ahead and believe Zovaal has the power of friendship and rainbows.
No it’s not speculation. It’s confirmed fact.
It’s not false if it’s proven true in 9.1. Look all I’m doing is simply listing the evidence for all the druidic stuff. There’s concrete evidence for the Nature related side of things, whereas it’s all guesswork and “maybes” for the Light, Order, and Void side.
By what means we don’t know. It doesn’t make the relic Titan in origin no matter how they got it. That’s like saying Shalamayne was made by humans because a human is holding it. even though it was made by elves.
Xe’ra was managing to undo the corruption on Illidan before he blasted her into a million pieces. So no, that doesn’t mean she can use the Fel.
The Priest Order Hall introductory quests cleansed Saa’ra, and again Elune cleansed Ysera of the influence of the Emerald Nightmare/Void. Purifying her back to her nature state.
It’s not but its specifically a druid/nature ability. Meaning that wielders of nature magic can definitely remove a corrupting presence on someone. Elune being a god of this force of magic should also be able to use it. So her ability to do so is not some sort of indicator that she has the ability to use other forces such as Fel.
not anymore…right now, cenarius is a wild god, born of the power of the well like all other wild gods and the night elves believes…he ´s her son.
She don´t change him into an night elf, she make the same thing as Lodraxion, she tried to lightforged him. He would still be a demon, and not a night elf again.
Actually celestial magic is a mixture of nature and arcane energies, which incidentally are the two forces Elune is most strongly tied to. The two forces are also highly complementary and one can argue work together to bring structure and life to the cosmos. What mages do to arcane power isn’t what arcane power actually wants to naturally do. They twist it into unnatural forms and warp reality as a result. That’s why when they loose control it tends to backlash horribly; that’s reality trying to rubber band snap back into normal.
That isnt all that new a concept. Moonwells also produce a mixture of arcane and nature energies.
Doesn’t really matter. Cos writers don’t care anyway.
What’s the point of creating Pantheon of something if you retcon it like anyone can use any powers?
Uh I hate this cosmos revamp.
No, one of the books contains the Curse that the Spriggan put on Qadarin
It’s a magical library full of magic spells, good and bad
Nobody has, but again, that’s two cosmic powers
Celestial/Astral magic is tied to Order. Moon wells are arcane
And Blizzard intended it to be taken canon because it is unreasonable to assume it was an intentional red herring by Blizzard to divert the playerbase
But it does add Elune as giving a Pantheon a tool that is described as a Pillar of Creation.
Lightforging doesn’t not undo other changes, or else Turalyon would’ve reverted to a Titanforged due to undoing the Curse of Flesh
Lothraxion is still a demon in-game.
Saara is a naaru who inherently alternate between Light and Shadow. Xalatath even argues the Void State is the default state
Irrelevant, the point is Elune functioned as a Psychopomp, which is Death magic.
Elune has always been… weird. She comes from the era of the RTS, so she never really fit properly into the modern lore when they began fleshing it out. They are trying to work a retrofit to allow for the structure they want to build to work. It isnt the first time we saw one type of being use another sphere’s power. Heck most the titans tap into other spheres.
I am just glad they didn’t make her a delusional Naaru or some Titanforge that lives on the moon. Or a member of the Light pantheon as it seems they debated doing, because that would of made even less sense to me.
It is the first time we see a single member being of a specific Pantheon be able to use or affect all six cosmic forces
Well… as I said. Elune is weird. she seems to be breaking a lot of rules, but she seems to be a one out, as none of the other pantheons seem to have members meddling so much in the mortal plane.
Perhaps the First Ones gave her a special task outside her initial one that necessitated it, which she could not tell the Winter Queen about. What I can say is it seems they plan to tell us more going forward. It will also be interesting to hear what Elune sounds like as she actually talks in 9.1 in a cut scene.
