Griefing and ganking

Tldr. I almost quit the game due to griefing from my own allies.

About an hour ago, i was farming marks of honor for transmog and i came across a world quest in maldraxxus.

I was excited because it hands out two marks of honor. So i ran in and started killing skeletons.

Out of respect for the two players who ganked me ill call them feral and shaman.

Feral was a lowbie who started attacking me first, they are both alliance. Feral kills me and im like okay thats fine. Shaman resses me so i thought all was well. Nope, feral attacks and kills me again. Shaman proceeds to res me again.

I was a fool for accepting it. Feral kills me again but i had enough time to fight back and almost killed him before shaman who is 60 in pvp gear one shotted me.

I was basically bonus points for lowbie feral. I did not get the quest done due to lowbie feral summoning guidies who proceeded to grief me. They were all alliance who humiliated me.

I honestly feel sick and never want to touch warmode ever again. I just wanted transmog. Thankfully i have a 60 rogue and feral druid who both got the quest done by stealthing around. There was no way i was getting pay back. I just turned off warmode on hunter and focusing on leveling my hunter to 60.

I just cant believe there are players on alliance who seek to humiliate and gank there own faction members but im sure there are hordies who will do the same. Free for all pvp brings out the worst in people. You are nothing but a target for your own faction… i just…i have no words as i type this. :frowning: just feel sick.

Problem kinda solves it self, huh? When you voluntarily opt into open-world PvP, you kinda forfeit the right to complain about experiencing open-world PvP.

You say that, but you can’t deny that rezzing someone deliberately so you can kill them again is toxic behaviour.

You turned wm off, problem solved. If your a cry baby and cant suck getting ganked then dont do pvp.

Also, wm is never worth it unless your overgeared with a group thats ganking people

I dont see the problem. Its pvp, you get what you pay for.

If they were able to kill you, how did they rez you. Thats not something you can do. You can’t rez someone of the opposite faction unless youre in instanced content

Something does seem off, dont recall any ffa area in Maldraxxus…

Could be druid and shaman cross faction grouped… though the rez does raise questions.

Welcome to World of Warcraft.
After well over a decade of Horde favoritism Alliance players tend to not give a frick about their own faction, partially why our overall population is low compared to Horde. If you want faction pride, you know where it is.

That said, I don’t agree with what they did to you, especially as same faction etc. But that’s just what it is.

It does seem off as well, but they also mention that when nearly killing druid the shaman finished them off. So that is a good question. Unless you can still res someone in FFA, which I’ve never tried.

You say it’s a ganking issue, but seems more like you encountered a hill. Once you climb it, you will be over it and stronger for the experience.
Sometimes having your eyes pried open to see raw humanity can ‘feel’ sickening…until you get numb to it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I hope the blue posters on here see this post and recognize this as a failure on Blizzard’s part to keep expectations of the playerbase within the realm of reality. Please stop catering to people who do nothing but complain about how others act, when those actions are rewarded in the game. This is what you get. A poster with world PvP on, doing a world quest in a free for all zone (which is an idea that’s been around for YEARS), complaining about free for all PvP.

How is the Shaman resurrecting you when you are cross faction?

Your story just doesn’t make sense or add up. You are either leaving out details or trying to troll.

Edit: looks like there is a way to FFA, but doesn’t change the fact that OP fell for the same trick twice.

Is this a joke thread? Did you literally turn on a PvP mode, get killed, then decide to come to the forums to complain about it? Wow.

Back in the day PvP servers were always on PvP. I hated every moment but I stayed. I made that choice. I had zero rights to complain in a public fashion. It was awful until I hit 60/70, decked out in PvP gear, and returned the favor.

PvP servers were a level of volatility/toxicity and there’s a good chance they don’t exist anymore because of that. If you don’t want to PvP, you don’t have to.

Before I gos into my overall points, I gotta few questions…

Hows are they hostile to yous? There’s no FFA areas in Maldraxxus, 'least none I’m awares of. Sliver of N’zoth ain’t an option eithah, that only works in BfA areas.

This is confusin’ me. If a player is hostile you has no way of resurrectin’ or healin’ them. If this was possibles you’d have folks griefin’ arenas where you’re fightin’ the same faction. So this means the Shaman had to, somehows, unflag you to raise yous.

Sorrys for your bad experience, if it indeed happens, but I disagrees. I started playin’ WoW initiallys when RP-PvP servers were a things, and had a lotta good times with flat out brawls, RP themed or nots.

ANYHOO. I’m still not sold it actually did happened, ‘cause that implies that the Cat and Shammy were usin’ some sort of exploit to both be hostile to their own faction, ands to be able to immediately unflag to be ables to resurrect you to kills you again. If it’s red you ain’t healin’ them regardless of factions.

Unless, agains, there’s an FFA area in Mald which I nevah seen, nor experienced, nor heard complaints abouts. Only ones I know ofs is in Bastion.

Eithah way, it boils down to: Ya volunteered for Warmode, ya deal with Warmode. Ya don’t wanna deal with Warmode, ya don’t volunteer for Warmode. One of the few things Blizz stuck to their guns ons, PvP problems are solved in PvP. The bonuses are nice but if you ain’t geared or prepared to handles being ganked and potentially griefed, yous bettah off keepin’ Warmode offs.
