Bright I’m not sure you are understanding the situation. The war criminal doesn’t NEED to be in ANYONE’s group! Let’s pretend the Horde are attacking west during Ashenvale (Just pretend). Meanwhile unbeknownst to them Little Timmy in WOODDEPARTMENT is bringing over a Night Elf fisherman from who the hell cares, kiting them very slowly and carefully over to the place where the big fight is about to take place. Surprising no one, Little Timmy and the Elf Fisherman arrive at the exact moment where the Event starts. People arn’t paying attention. People are throwing out Rain of Fires and Blizzards and what have you. What they don’t realize is that Night Elf Fisherman is in the crowd and he’s not ready for a fight. He perishes and days of work and progress in the Honor System INSTANTLY is wiped away. There is no PvP solution to this griefing. The only way to prevent something like this is to remove dishonorable kills so Timmy can kite whoever the hell he wants wherever the hell he wants and it won’t affect a thing.

Seriously. That’s the solution. I assume you can control your own AoE skills, so don’t tag or attack the Night Elf fisherman. If the war criminal idiots that just spam Arcane Explosion get a DK, they and they alone get it while you, not grouped with said idiots, will not.

You don’t need to be in a raid to get credit for a kill in ashen ale. Stop grouping up with people who don’t watch who they are attacking.

Ashenvale PvP is not needed just do WSG instead. Sure might be more of a time commitment but no chance at killing civs there.

I don’t group for this either but I’m curious what UI and graphics settings that allow you to see such detail in a mob of 80+ ppl to notice 1 random civilian who isn’t supposed to be there to begin with.

Your answer is telling ppl straight up not to do the content. How is that reasonable at all? Speaking of reasonable, you’re also asking someone to no life grind a BG for paltry rep instead of spend 5 minutes or less a day farming the rep.

You are either dealing with someone who is posting just for le EPIC troll or with the mentally unhinged, setting a timer every three hours just to grief the remaining 20 adults still playing the game.
You have the option to group selectively. You aren’t entitled to the groupings of others nor are you obligated to group for all content.
For a single PvP event that is primarily, if not exclusively, fixated on generating WSG reputation, not honor progress, it is not a big ask to simply not group with randos for the few minutes of effort needed to attack a mob and snag your daily quest item.
For the rest of PvP in SoD, you don’t have this problem.

There are literally dozens of UI mods that allow you to filter, customize, adapt, and otherwise accurately control the kinds of names and nameplates that appear in a mass of characters. You can even blacklist or whitelist specific NPCs so that they either always show prominently or never show at all, or whatever else you want to do.
Finally, it isn’t hard to just… NOT blindly AoE. If you’re not yet Revered, you only really need to tag one minor soldier, the named captains, and the final general. If you’re Revered, you just need to tag a single minor soldier. That’s it. You don’t need to be grouped for it, and at worst you’re missing out on 20-40 rep per battle you attend by not blindly hitting everything around you.
You can do content without being stupid and reckless. You can participate just fine. You’re being genuinely dim if you think otherwise.
Report, avoid their shenanigans, and keep playing. This isn’t hard.
