I accidentally accepted a private event when talking to Greymane Seneschal and have no idea how to reverse it. The npc is gone (all npcs in the zone are gone) and not seeing anything online that explains how to fix it.
How do I get out of this phase?

That NPC will remove all the NPCs from the area so it’s empty. They should return within a few hours. But yea… that’s what that NPC doees.
I assumed it was a followup to the quest to reclaim the city. It does a poor job indicating otherwise. I figured whenever you ask the citizens to stay away it would trigger some event that plays out.
There should be an option to turn it off. It’s very annoying.

I agree that this Removal of NPCs is poorly executed. What I FEEL would be BETTER is how they implemented a small quest, like how they did with the scarlet key with the toggling on the old scarlet monastery. I think they should implement that kind of thing that it turns on some NO NPC SIGHTING buff that you can remove when you want to see NPC’s again… But that’s just me.
Same. We need the NPC to stay put as a toggle.
Can we confirm that it does change back after a few hours?
I activated it around 3-4pm EST. Now 11pm EST. NPCs still gone.
The dialogue I got from them said they would be back tomorrow.
So… check back after 24 hours, maybe.
Lovely. I mean don’t get me wrong I like the concept in theory as it’s amazing for RP servers. But they need to make this a reliable a toggle, and they should expand it to other places like Zul’Gerub, Zul’Farrak, Kul’tiras’ Shrine of Storms, as well as a couple other places.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if Moon Guard could toggle Goldshire to say only show NPCs?
Ugh. Same here. The chat options give you no indication that it’s a zone toggle, so I clicked thinking it was just a flavor chat, and she walked off and took everyone with her.
The text should really be more clear about what this actually does, and the player should have the option to switch back at any time like the bronze dragons. Why introduce a potentially confusing new type of zone toggle that doesn’t work like previous zone toggles?

Anyone able to confirm they all came back?
