Hey there battle pet collectors!
I’ve run into an odd snafoo. Why are the devouring maggots and some other NPCs greyed out in the fields just below Utgarde Keep?
I’m wondering if because I leveled to above 80 in Northrend and they’ve become greyed out? I have not upgraded to BoA yet, could that be it?
I’ve just started Pandaria, and warcraftpets states that the devouring maggot is available in Mists of Pandaria??? I’m super confused, thanks in advanced for the help!
When they’re greyed out on mini-map like that means inside of something. In the Utgarde Keep area they’re deep underground in the Catacombs, and battling pets there can be challenging. The maggots are in middle of crowds of ghouls that respawn in a few seconds after being killed; even with stealth is hard to stay out of combat long enough to start a pet battle.
Go to Westguard Keep instead and start battles with the pets there, the maggot is a frequent secondary pet.
