Itâs not because you said nobody answered your question but didnât really say what your question was. I can only guess!
Sometimes the question is simply something I must google myself or it is something that will take my time to help with. Where in general did you ask in, was it in Stormwind or a random zone? There isnât that many players in some of those areas any longer.
People have decent answers in this thread. In fact Iâm trying to help you understand why people may not respond to a random question from a new player right now and youâre nothing but argumentative!

not with that attitude. I know everything is in the dirt with M+ thinking they have to do delves before going in to any mythics,

And the game existed that way for 15 years and did fiine. Tutorial island does too much hand holding imo.
Iâd still rather start a new character in the old zones than be coddled by Captain Garrick or her horde equivalent for 2 hours.

I would welcome ANY brand new, not returning, player to enter the game with no addons, or websites, and work their way right into +17s in Mythics. Iâm sure there are a handful of gamers out there who can do it. This game has a learning curve. It also has more addons than UI help. The fact that it is taking 70k people in a Discord server months to solve 9 out of 12 orbs for a secret mount should be the exception of extreme evidence. Youâd know that if you played retail, or at least posted on your main so folks knew you played retail.
Call me anything you like, but this game is just not designed for new players. Period.
I think it would simply take a little time for a player to get used to it, but that was true even in wrath tbh. When I started it didnât tell me how to swim or something lol. I had to look things up or ask people. Itâs simply people donât always answer. Itâs not a âcommunity issueâ in my eyes. Maybe if we speak about peopleâs tolerance in dungeons then yes that is a community issue. But otherwise new players are welcome by many and the game has plenty to offer them. Thereâs just so much sharding and phasing and things going on in the game that makes it 100xs harder to ask people simply outside of a guild about things. Those are things a new player wouldnât understand.
There is a channel I believe that is supposed to help with that but Iâm an old player and donât even know what that is.
But if your in a timewalking version of a city and your asking in general for help⌠you probably arenât going to reach a lot of ears. If itâs a simple enough question itâs best to use the internet.

Join Dreamscyth for the classic anniversary server. Other there, we chat and socialize in general, give each other buffs, and team up to do things all the time.
No one is gonna send you to google. Ssk your question (like I did recently about how to see nodes) and watch as 5-6 people give you answers.
Retail wow is basically a solo game where people use other players as a means to an end. The vast majority now just pug unless its mythic raid or mythic + 12 and up. Otherwise, people are seen as resource that either help or hinder you towards your goals.
Agreed. I remember failing constantly when I first came to the game. It took joining a guild, making friends, using Ventrillo and visiting Thottbot before I finally even understood what âadd-onsâ were. And you are correct. New players are added to a new account channel for 30 days, which they are removed from once they have had time to adjust to the game. 19 years in this game makes a person wonder why anyone else would come into it without having been recruited by a friend who would help them.

why is it ok for them to do that and not others?

This is true too, we have so many expansions now and those expansions have ALOT built into them that is different from other expansions. Itâs a ton of information to take in. Iâm glad I started when it was a bit more simple. I feel like blizzard has improved with their design in welcoming players into the newer content first before unlocking timewalking.
Theyâve streamlined the questing process and gently introduce players into new features in them. Such as sky riding and solo dungeons. They did a good job in that!
There is a helpful community in retail. These people will be easier to reach in a guild than randomly asking. There are too many variables unfortunately. Also I donât think itâs fair to expect an answer if asked randomly either. Itâs more like a âworth a shotâ thing. 
Exiles Reach is a perfect example. 30 minutes of questing combined with 422 popups explaining everything.
