Hello- I would like to address the " greif" issues on WoW. CoC is code of conduct. It is respectful play for the person who is behind the kboard.
1- Item Stealing- often in older continents. IF YOU DID NOT WORK FOR THAT ITEM YOU DO NOT DESERVE IT.
2- Dragging aggro is another issues which causes players to die or battle something they did not cause or deserve. Another player conduct.
3- Running your mouth in the dungeon or bullying. Most people do not have the same aspect of the game and diffrent skills will que up diffrent players. Its not up to you to put blame on others or cause an negative environment. It does zero good in achieving the goal.
4- The biggest- IF YOU SEE ANOTHER PLAYER (thats a human online playing with you) HELP THEM NO MATTER THE FACTION!
What
Calm down, itâs not Sunday yet.
Feels like there needs to be a lot more backstory and context with this post
Uh.
- Item stealing? You mean like, clicking on a quest object before someone else?
- Iâm assuming this one is based more on dragging a train of mobs onto someone, sometimes intentional, sometimes an unintentional spiraling disaster, not sure if there are any situations where that counts outside of hardcore servers?
- Bullying/Insulting people is reportable. Explaining mechanics isnât. Depends on whatâs being said and the context but general âtrash talkâ is something you can report.
- No. No one is forced to help anyone and generally if itâs the opposite faction, killing them is better because theyâd do the same. Or you can be nice, you arenât forced to be though.
Talking very authoritatively about things you barely grasp will get you digitally wedgied, yeah.
I like how you snuck an actually legitimate thing in your nonsense of a post.
BG complainers, especially the rude ones, are the worst.
Well, least it isnt AI written I suppose.
Ah. Another âsocial contractâ thread.
What?
There is nothing in the CoC for this.
- Report
- Ignore
- Do not engage
You do realize there are faction tagging bugs right now, yes?
I agree with point 3, rest feel like theyâre fair game.
You know most of these are Directly against the terms of service as âGriefingâ, right? And if you report people for it they Will Catch bans?
The last one is not, however, and iâm under no obligation to help anyone, especially if I know its going to get me killed in the attempt. Iâm under no expectation others will help me, either.
This is technically against the rules, not the code of conduct, Or at least it used to be. I dunno if theyâve changed it but I know blizzard used to actually take action about this kinda thing before the HC servers.
edit: I guess it is code of conduct now, but either way it would fall under âGriefingâ.
Only when itâs done intentionally.
So glad this post got bumped just so I could see it and be equally confused.
