Green eyes for void elves

Let’s not forget those high elves that stayed at Outland either. That place wasn’t exactly a Holy Light Land.

No if you siphon it you still get fel eyes, blizz said most citizens got those fel eyes even if they didn’t do the magic siphoning themselves due to fel radiation. Same as how frostwolves got corrupted skin even though they themselves didn’t drink demon blood.

If you are a heavy fel user as a high elf you would get green eyes too.

Um, this is just objectively wrong. Whether it’s forceful or willingly, absorbing anything will have the same physical effects on you, this isn’t some “mind over matter” essential oils nonsense.

Real life example, if you give someone a Benadryl injection voluntarily or involuntarily it’s going to have the same effect on your body.

In game example, if Illidan hadn’t chose to blow up Xe’ra, you would have Lightforged Illidan, despite it being forced on him. Pretty sure this is also emphasized on the current situation on Draenor right now too with Yrel forcefully converting Orcs to the Light.

The answer is in your words, Garrosh was affected by the powers of the Old Gods, Alleria was transformed by a Naaru. They may be using similar cosmic forces, however these are very different entities. Not sure what you tried to gain by using this as a talking point.

You really haven’t, you’re just giving me a bunch of fluff and trying to argue that Alleria can spot train her eyes to not change color. Alleria’s Void Form is even stronger than that of a normal Void Elves, but she still retains her eye color. You haven’t provided a solid argument of why Blood Elves can keep their eye color during Void Form at all, especially when their Void Form is weaker than Alleria’s.

If Alleria’s Void Form is stronger than the Blood Elves and she retains her eyes, then the Blood Elves should retain their eyes. That’s pretty basic to understand.

There’s clearly a difference when the person at least know what they’re doing VS. being transformed by a sentient being with the intention of turning them into a completely different entity.

And is not so much about the unwillingness, as it is about the process itself, as I mentioned again and again. The intention of the Void Prince was to turn them into Void Elementals with his own powers, there was no dead naaru involved.

Alleria absorbed L’ura knowing what she was doing to some extent.

Unless the person being injected is allergic to it.

Also, never try to use real life logic when talking about absorbing interdimensional beings made out of Void.

None of us know even know how that could have turned out.

Oh, so you recognize the difference in that process, but not in the one VEs went through. How convenient.

Old gods are literally part of the Void as per the graphics I linked earlier, which is part of the Chronicles books…

The Old Gods are creations of the Void Lords.

Again, you accept that the changes Garrosh went through are not the same, ergo, which is why Alleria doesn’t sport a tentacle arm and several eyes all over her body…

But you think that her absorbing a dead naaru is the same as a Void Prince trying to turn the Void Elves into void elementals it’s the same thing…

Yet it looks exactly like enthropic embrace…

Nice slip there, btw… but no, it’s not about erasing what Void Elves are, eh?

And again, you can keep saying I haven’t explained, but I have 4 times now.

Yeah… which Void Elves can only transform to for seconds while Alleria can turn it on/off at will, while keeping her blue eyes. You’re adding fuel to my argument and you don’t even see the irony.

What slip? I’ve been saying during this entire thread that Void Elves are canonically Blood Elves. That’s not an opinion it’s a fact; again, where is your argument?

I mean you can say that, but Yrel’s light crusade on Draenor right now is pretty canon, so it’s pretty canon you can forcibly convert someone to a cosmic force.

I’m not trying to disrespect you Midare, I don’t know you as a person but ever since I dropped that link to Alleria having blue eyes during her Void Form your tone has shifted and you’ve been flailing.

Whether you like it or not, Void Elves are Blood Elves, that is the lore, your opinion does not matter.

If it bothers you so much, tell the writers to retcon Void Elves to be High Elves Alleria rounded up. As it stands however, Alleria rounded up Blood Elves so stop trying to gatekeep a customization that belongs in the game.

It’s pointless.

You refuse to acknowledge Umbric’s words.

You refuse to accept that the process was completely different (while accepting the different of another also different transformation process).

You refuse to accept that the whole gist of the scenario which introduced them was to show them being changed.

You just refuse to see canon lore that is right there, and I presented to you again and again, and can be even still be seen in game.

It’s like trying to argue with a wall that thinks of itself a carriage.

Idk what other peoples opinions are on this but I really hope they give the Horde an actual Warchief that doesn’t go evil/crazy.

A council is pretty meh, you need a central authority or things start to fall apart. For Alliance we had Varian and now Anduin as our face of the faction, what does Horde currently have?

-You made lore points to counter my argument
-I made lore points to counter your counters to my argument
-“It’s pointless.”

Have a good day Midare.

No, I made lore points.

You made twirls and hopped around them despite of all the evidence that says they’ve been changed.

I really hope you don’t apply these standards to everything.

Quote me doing this so I can break it down for you then. Again, your opinion doesn’t matter, lore is lore.

The fact that you’re asking me to do this after the whole exchange when I’ve broke down your arguments and showed you evidence that refutes it… only for you to go and call it an “opinion”…

Yeah, I should know better than to get on these sort of circular arguments.

Void Elves are not Blood Elves.

The lore says they’ve changed.

Accept it and move on, or continue labeling things that are part of the lore as “opinion”.

The most recent posts are me breaking down your arguments, where you followed up with “It’s pointless.” You have not provided a rebuttal.

I wish the two of us could just share a KFC bucket instead, but you want to gatekeep my green eyes. We coulda been homies, this is your doing.

On a side note, I’ve enjoyed the debate honestly, no hard feelings towards you. These conversations are pretty stimulating and actually help me write better term papers lol

I didn’t realize this was ret conned in this way. That’s stupid. The whole blood elven aesthetic is taking amoral approaches to survival and that’s what I loved about them. Where’s the source for this retcon?

All races , all colors. All or nothing.

If you’re looking for a dev confirming this, there isn’t any. It’s more of a soft retcon.

If you go to Silvermoon, you’ll see Blood Elf NPCs siphoning directly from Fel crystals.

In one of the novels, it was explained how Lady Liadrin used Fel crystals to satiate her hunger, as a normal habit.

Suddenly all that changed to “oh no, Blood Elves never used Fel crystals to satiate their hunger”, and they completely ignore those two examples for instance

Ok, lets go by what you so called a fact with you thinking Umbric claiming the Void Changed his race.

So, shall we also use the lore of the Blood Elves no longer considering themselves are High Elves the same way you’re doing it to Void Elves to High Elves.

Because thing is, just like the Blood Elves, Void Elves only got a name change. There race has not changed, which means just like the Blood Elves, Void Elves are also High Elves.

You guys got your diet High Elf fantasy. Now just stop.

Void Elf players clamoring for something until they get it, then forgetting about it and clamoring for something else is becoming a meme at this point.

I’ll ask for whatever I want on the forums. Thanks.
