Title. After having been doing M+ and solo shuffle the last few weeks, and after having gotten my first 10 hellcaller chests every week since the start, I ended up missing two of the hellcaller class sets. I had plenty of chests dropping beyond the initial 10 each week, it’s just that they hardly gave any shards. I’ve played consistently this whole time doing all kinds of activities that awarded them and still didn’t get enough.
If you’re going to make FOMO events you have to make it so that people can get everything with a reasonable amount of time and effort. As it stands, I’m getting less inclined to care or participate at all given that I’ll often miss things with how much is going on now and how slowly we’re able to get the event goals done. It’s exhausting, it’s irksome, and it needs to stop.
Extending collector’s bounty would just have been a nice touch. I don’t understand why you can’t line both up with the release of the next season. Makes no sense and gets confusing after a while with all the stuff that’s happening.

IMO it was one of the best Event Blizzard ever had. I saw so many old friends online playing old content. I believe many players had a lot of fun these past 4 weeks, made the whole game feel alive.

I think they ran long enough. People had plenty of time to do what they needed to do. If they didn’t invest the time in the effort, they don’t deserve the rewards. RNG is RNG so if you got it, you got it and if you didn’t oh well. I think I got a pet and a couple of bags from the one event and 11 mounts from the other. Didn’t even bother to count all of the appearances.

Right, and I got most of the mounts I wanted, no big deal there. I just think the shards should have had a guaranteed drop rate high enough over the four weeks to give us all the class sets. I don’t see any reason it shouldn’t have happened if we were doing the content.

I don’t think you HAVE to get everything. If you suffer from anxiety because of fomo that sounds like an issue you should have checked out. Just get them next year you know they will bring them back.

Uh… they absolutely did. I finished buying all sets a week ago with minimal time spent in Undermine. And I still had a bunch of shards left over.
So…if you can’t get everything, you’d rather get nothing? I dunno, I couldn’t personally have that mindset. I’m happy with what I got and for what it’s worth, these ensembles will likely return in the future since they aren’t really a ‘prestige’ item.

I was in hospital + only just had computer received back from warrantee repair that was away for about two months — so when I got back to WoW, only had a week to enjoy the events 
Circumstances out of my control weren’t for a lack of effort 
That being said — I had some old friends return for the event and we ran a whole heap of legacy content together 
It was fun!
- If I had appearances or mounts the other didn’t I’d provide and vise-versa, it was a niche system playing as a group of friends, having a laugh etc
Personally I’d love if the ‘Collector’s Bounty’ remained so we could have fun together doing the raids as a group again 
I get the whole “You can still do that” – but it’s not quite the same without the bounty, y’know? Anyway …
Ultimately yeah, the game felt very alive with the event, even in just the one week I was able to enjoy it.

Well, I would think that but I have no faith they’ll bring it back. Same with the anniversary stuff, right? A lot of this seems to now be true fomo stuff and I don’t know what the point of that is. A lot of us are completionist gamers rather than yolo gamers
It’s been especially difficult to just farm hellcaller chests because we’ve also been doing:
-Mythic plus
-Rated PVP
-Horrific visions
-Pandaria classic intro for mount
-Timewalking every week
-Collector’s bounty farming
-Dastardly duos
-End-of-season set farming
-Underpin ?? difficulty
-Flame’s Radiance
-Titanic delves mount
-Cartel chips
…yeah, it’s a lot.
How, though? The first ten are guaranteed to have six shards, right? That’s 60 x 4 weeks = 240. We needed 520 total for all sets, meaning the guaranteed shards were less than half of that total. I got a LOT of chests beyond the weekly guarantee and also farmed undermine a couple of times. Still wasn’t enough.

In the same boat as you. I have not been playing as much because its summer but I made sure to try and get enough to afford all the items from the event. You were limited to the spawns every hour, I don’t know how people are making enough to get everything without being online A LOT. Like…a lot a lot. After the “cap” I would only get 1 shard per chest, so max 3 an hour. It should have gone another week.
Even with all my farming, I am missing 2 sets because I don’t have enough shards.

I managed to get all but 1 of the sets and didn’t really focus on the goblins , so I think the event was fine and long enough. Though I didn’t have the best of luck with mounts only getting 5 total. But RNG will always be RNG no matter how much you increase the odds.

People could get more of the shards by going to undermine and farming the rares who could also spawn the goblins so didn’t have to wait for the hourly spawns in the main cities.

Personally, I felt overwhelmed by how many events are going on for only a month… There were at least four events going on at any given time, not including other holidays, MoP Classic, and the season ending. It was fine during the anniversary because it was spaced out, but it ultimately got too overwhelming this time and it made me play other things. Extending it would be nice, but they probably won’t do that.

No one is their right mind is trying to do all of this.
If you’re a “completionist gamer” then you’re playing the wrong game. You’re never going to “complete” World of Warcraft.
And these sets will all absolutely be back. It’s not FOMO. It’s a holiday event. The game has been full of them for decades. Try again next year.

You do not need everything. Jesus Christ. Maybe next time you can get the rest idk. Dear God this thinking you deserve every thing is ridiculous.
What would have made it even BETTER is if they gave everyone a stacking buff. So like, every time you ran a legacy raid, if the mount didn’t drop, you would get a 1% drop chance increase across your Warbond. And once the mount dropped, it would reset back to zero.
