The amount of control mages have, the number of ways they can avoid interrupts, etc makes gpy worse than cb.

During the cast, they have no control. Okay, shimmer, but what is that cd? 0.5 second cd damn, but 400 mana?

Just had a wsg against a fire mage… they were not top dps by a long shot. And I was solo queued and we won.

Stack a team with 4 MM hunter and see if it can do something that 4 fire mage could. ill wait.

You are literally trying to justify something completely broken. It’s a one shot that isn’t hard to get off. Especially in a group setting like BGs. How about it just gets fixed and we nerf Fire instant 65% dmg with Gpyro.

I think what they mean is with the rated battleground scenario where you have 4 fire mage and 4 healers and they just rotate around 1 shotting people.
4 mm hunters woudnt have success in a 10 man rated bg.

I just agree that if a mage gets its burst going and other pressure from other team-mates, that’s pretty OP.

If, sure. Could be said for a few classes.

Learn to play, Get them to start casting, get out of their range. If they shimmer, CC, Kite some more. If you’re melee, use PvP talents in which you reflect/ reduced magical damage/effects.
There’s a counter to everything in PvP, and most classes have a move for nearly everything. Get better at utilizing choices, and positioning your character. Happy killing

Im just saying for everyone else in rated or random bg’s I can see how fire mage would be a pain. it deserves a slight nerf.

Gpyro is not at all an OP issue in rated gameplay. Maybe you should queue rated.

I have never seen 3 Gpyros lined up on one target, maybe 2 I forgot but gee whiz you are digging hard. You should play a mage but if you have 3 dps on you what would happen if they were other classes ?

You are trying to ignore the fact that a Fire mage does to much instant dmg on a PvP training dummy. It’s too much dmg and it’s all instant. It has to change. You shouldn’t be able to line it up with Gpyro. The instant dmg needs to be changed.

This is a damage mechanics issues along with being tremendously overtuned. Creating a broken situation. These are the facts.
