Getting pretty tired of the masses rolling fire to lol in bgs. I don’t think this ability is overpowered by itself, but putting 3-4 fire mages on 1 BG team is something that needs looked into. Can’t line, interrupt, knockback 3 mages with shimmer. Their population seems to be growing.
Yes, yes the game isn’t balanced around 2s, bgs, or Wpvp. Let’s take a real look at this atrocious spell and not come up with excuses for why it should remain unchecked in this game. And please note that I didn’t ask for the ability to be deleted.
Cap the mages at 2 per regular random BG imo. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to do so with other classes as well.
Edit: Before the “you’re a rogue” comments fill the thread, I’m talking primarily from a healers perspective. I resto Druid more than anything else.

Caps would be nice but anytime you talk about addin restrictions and filters it would most likely impact queue times

Corn and I faced a fire Mage/ holy and the firemages ignite spread from corn as he ran past.
I was 50% and the Mage didn’t touch me.
Combust and Mage instant casts are scary.

Yeah, I cycle cds and go for rep/hoj/rep and we try and bang the dps.
We line a lot, we win most matches against casters and have tough fights against mongo melee.
Double dps is lols, ret rogue/ surv rogue and rogue Mage were easy games.
We were 11 wins 2 losses at 1850 and 2k mmr.
Lost to hpriest/fire Mage and demo/ Resto shaman.
Both losses were lost from mistakes we made.

Freddy and I got creamed by a rouge/mage that had 103k ish hp. Both of them. They were 2200+ players though. Gear obviously didn’t matter that match.
That was one of our two losses so far this season.
The second loss was a previously high rated enh sham/resto druid.
MMR was super wonky on Tuesday night. Our first 6 games were easy wins against 1200 mmr teams even though our mmr was around 1800 starting out.
