The tooltips are confusing.
I have 2/2 into improved blessing of wisdom.
Rank 1 = 30 mana / 5 second on the buff, 36 mana in the tooltip
Rank 2 = 33 mana / 5 second on the buff, 40 mana in the tooltip
So is the talent is broken and it’s useless? The buff doesnt seem to reflect what the spell is supposed to do.
33mp5 is base so it’s probably not reflecting imp BoW.
WoW has been notorious for this kind of thing for almost 16 years.
The buff display is wrong and it’s like that with every buff increased by talents I’m pretty sure.
Check your Combat log for actual results or watch your mana pool manually and watch the tics.
They didn’t make separate tooltips for every possible talented improved version of a buff. The tooltip is just the base version. The actual buff is correct.
TLDR: don’t believe the tooltip.

20% increase of 33 is 39.6, or 40.
It’s like this with improved fort on my priest. Others say it’s just a bug on the tool tip, but I can apply it and remove it and it’s only giving the amount noted, 44 stam. (Max rank, spellbook claims its 55 without talents)
I stay away from any talents of that nature. My alternatives usually aren’t very appealing, but it’s better than throwing points into broken/useless talents to get further down into the tree.
