this morning before reset i logged on and my great vault page said do one more delve to get a higher reward for my second slot, went out and did it, and now it still says it do one more delve. not sure if i actually needed two more delves, or if it just didnt count that run?
Regardless, its extremely annoying. is there even an easy way to check how many delves youve done in a week outside of just remembering it? lol
Ya, happens all the time. Idk if itâs rng or it means every time you hit the 2 4 8 threshold on that character but I do delves on a bunch characters and confused as well
It goes in twos, fours and eights. You do 2 r8 delves, your first vault slot is at max reward and your second one need 2 more to activate. If you do a theatre event or machine it counts in the slot too but you get the lowest reward. So it says to do a r2 delves to increase but in fact you need 2 r8 delves to get it maxed. Then your eights slot has 4 r8 delve in it and 2 events and so on⌠I hope I am making sense.
For the first slot you need 2 delves to get a reward and it takes the value of the lowest delve completed.
The way I understand it is that the last column reflects your lowest level delve for the week. A world event (I.e theater) counts as a tier 1 delve.
People say you have to do eight T8 bountiful delves each week to max it out and push that tier 1 off the list.
Personally, I donât think that will ever happen for me so I just donât sweat. I get whatever free gear I get out of my three slots.

If youâve done any world content youâll have to do 3 level 8 delves to push any other activity out. So 11 8âs a week or donât do any weekly activities that award caches.
For clarification, the delves do not need to be bountiful for them to be counted towards the vault.

this makes no sense the vault says its out of 8 if i do 8 x t8 delves those are the highest content
Itâs for folks that do not do delves. They can still unlock the bottom row of the great vault at a lower teir.
Did you already complete the 8 delves at, say, tier 1, then started some tier 2s? if thats the case, then its requiring more clears at the higher tier to upgrade that slot in the Vault.
There should be some way to track the Delves you have done. similar to Mythic+.
but theres no way i need 11 delves to fill. not like if i do mythic dungeons and then do some heroics i dont suddenly need 11 mythic dungeons to knock out the heroics from the vault.
I think thatâs the way you should approach it. While T8s are ideal, an upgrade is an upgrade. T5s will have what? ilvl 600 vault options waiting for you? Sounds good to me. Iâll worry about 8 T8s when I get there. Slow and steady.
I aint gonna lie. Im a little sad PvP isnt in the vault anymore. Itâs the one thing I really look forward to each week. And now itâs gone unless I do pve. Itâs like xmas being taken away from me every week.
All you need to know is that you just need to run 8 T8 delves each week to get a max choice of 3 616 pieces. They do not have to all be bountiful. Any T8 delve counts towards the vault.
T8 are very easy to solo now, and if youâre still having trouble itâs pretty easy to find/start a group in premade groups and knock them out in a couple hours.
I think they bundle many things as âworld contentâ it may not be fair or even how it was intended, but for the last 2 weeks itâs what I had to do.
The âWorld Eventsâ area for the Delves and World Events needs to have a drop down menu tab to either select Delves or World Events for players to track. This way, players can actually track their Delve completion progress within the Great Vault submenu. Currently there is no way players can âvisuallyâ track how many or the level of Delves theyâve completed other than the x2 and x4 Delves (which are usually the x4 Bountiful Delves) players would get a indication of completing 4 Delves for the GV. The rest of the 4 Delves (8 for weekly GV cap) are not tracked, so, players are left âguessingâ how many more Delves they are needing to complete to get all 8 Delves maxed for the Great Vault.
I wonât lie, somedays, I would complete x4 Bountiful Delves then keep Delving through non-Bountiful Delves (to save keys) and think to myself âDid I do 7 or 8 Delves, I donât rememberâŚâ because by the time Iâm in my 4th or 5th Delve, Iâm not thinking of how many I need left, Iâm going through the motions to get my GV T8 cap and thatâs where it getâs confusing because thereâs no mouse over tooltip to display how many or what Delves youâve completed.
Iâm most certain players would rather keep track of their Weekly Delve progress over World Events which World Events do not reward as nearly close to the items level Delves (especially Tier 8) for Great Vault rewards.
Unlike the Mythic Plus area, all you need to do is mouse over the area and the âtooltipâ will highlight visually which M+ youâve completed so far and go from there to which M+ key levels youâd want to target to improve your Great Vault rewards. A mouse over tooltip or a drop down menu to select Delve or World Events would be ideal.
Youâre making plenty of sense. Youâre confirming what I already suspected. What Iâd like to see is a separate track for Delves and World Content, such as dailies, events etc. because Delves are not strictly speaking, world content as weâve traditionally thought of it, itâs instanced content, not taking place in the overworld, therefore itâs my belief that as someone who likes doing world content and Delves, I donât think events etc. should be clogging up, and interfering with my Delveâs Great Vault track.
