- Ran all 5 timewalking dungeons in a row
- turned in the quest, got my piece of hero gear
- great vault says I’ve only done 3 TW dungeons

All bosses in a TWing dungeon need to die to count for the Vault. Just finishing them is enough for the quest however.
For Legion dungeons, usually Darkheart Thicket and the dragon is the boss that gets skipped.

Just to nitpick, it’s all bosses on the objective list. For example, this week in Classic TW Zul’Farrak, you can still skip Ghaz’rilla and the Hydromancer because the objectives only list the other 5.
But yeah, modern dungeons tend not to have the crazy amount of optional bosses the Classic ones had so general rule is full clear.
