So we have the mail icon for characters.
We should get the same for the Great Vault.
It would be super useful to those of us with a lot of alts.

I have a pad of paper where I chart all of my alts’ activities for each week. Last column in the chart is Great Vault. I find that’s the best way to make sure all of my alts do all of the activities for every week for the best chances for upgrades.

Look into the AlterEgo addon. It will track the Vault on all characters you want it too.
I have a google sheet 
I also try to move alts to Dornogal to log out when I’ve done their weeklies to help me keep a “visual” track. Org/SW they got nothing to open, Dornogal they got vaults.

I keep track of this on a spreadsheet. I shouldn’t have to do that.

Agreed if they can simply have the mail icon on the character select screen they can do the same for the great vault

it would be just as useless as the mail icon, since 90% of the time when a character of mine has mail the icon does not appear. I still have to log into all my characters to actually see if they have mail.

It only appears for the characters on that server. Which does suck, I agree.

Please, blizzard! Folks have been aaking for this for years. With the expanded info added to the character screen it is crazy that they didn’t include it.

Nope, Even if I am on a particular server with a character that has mail, the icon rarely appears. It just doesn’t work at all most of the time.
Example: last week I had five characters on the dalaran server expecting mail from auctions. NONE of them had a mail icon even though I was logged onto that server and they had mail.
This happens to me and my friends constantly.
Ah. I haven’t run into that in ages. I thought they solved it. I’m sorry.
