Great job "tuning" Torghast

Yeah, first time I’m able to go into Torghast after that “tuning” in the last patch, and FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, DEAD. FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, DEAD. FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, DEAD. FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, DEAD. FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, DEAD. FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, FEAR, STUN, DEAD. Yeah, sure, can’t make the game challenging with decent, thoughtful tactics, so CHEAT, and kill the player at random with things they can’t help.

I’m sick of this crap. After being subscribed almost uninterrupted since 2004 open beta, I’m out.

You can interrupt

Eh, I had a run with 4 Mawsworn agents in 1 pack.

You can’t interrupt fear from 4 targets at once.

What? Fears…sure. Stuns? Are you just standing in those puddles that telegraph an incoming stun?

I’ve been clearing torghast every week, on every layer i need on both of my toons and i literally don’t even know or seen what you people are still whining about.

I’ve never had an issue outside of just spacing out because of boredom

Torghast is so easy now, though. It’s just tedious.

He can sap however.

That… still leaves 3 targets.

I had to eat the fear and just hope it didn’t send me into the nearby mobs.

Elites or no?

4 elites could be rough, 4 non elites… you’re doing it wrong.

Don’t Hunters get an ice trap anymore?

Or how about that slow AoE you can drop on the ground?

Oh and not standing in the big circle that’s on the ground telling you exactly were not to stand?

Do you really need Blizzard to spoon feed you while making plane noises as they fly the spoon into your mouth?

Y’all REALLY don’t know math.

“They can sap it.”
“You can ice trap it.”

There. Were. 4. Of. Them. In. One. Pack.

Elites or not?

If non elite, kill them, they squishy.

Also they do reset, so worst case, trap/sap. Kill one, run away, reset, fight again.

Pet tank it while you shoot, rogue kill one vanish go again etc etc.

And for the record, I don’t agree witht he OP. It’s fine. There’s outliers like my experience this week.

But y’all just telling me that I could’ve trapped them just makes me UGH.

The two of you can’t kill two mobs?

…I was solo.

Their aoe fear has a max range just run from them as they cast and it will miss you if there is 4 of them

Trap, pet fights, you’re out of range. Win?

Grab obscuring mist anima power, can’t target you, you can hit it, kite.

Do rogues still have an aoe disorient? Like blind? That would stop the 4 on a rogue.

  • At most there are two elite mobs in a single pack.
  • You CC one of them.
  • Then AoE the rest of the pack while focusing on the Elite.
  • If the CC on the second elite breaks, recast it.
  • Don’t stand in the “fire”.
  • Use your cool downs.

ALSO…

  • Choose your Anima Powers Wisely so that they synergize with your playstyle and abilities.
  • Stack Anima Powers whenever possible.
  • Buy Anima Powers with all that phantasma you get from killing things
  • make sure you break all the pots for the stat bonus
  • rescue all the NPCs and Ghosts

Yeah, it’s pretty terrible for rogues. I’ve done several 8’s, even 2 before the nerfs, so I think I have a handle on it. The main thing as a rogue is to use all your cc’s and take it very slowly. Sap and/or blind to take on as few enemies as possible at one time and even occasionally killing a specific target w/ cds then vanishing. If you can, wait for cd’s and make liberal use of your defensive ones such as evasion, crimson vial, and cloak.

It doesn’t help that the rogue powers are very weak. My boomkin is about 20 ilvls lower than my rogue and does about 4 or 5 times as much damage in Torghast

The truth is rogues are in a very bad spot at the moment from a PvE perspective. On the beta, rogue damage was sky high, but it was all tied to the covenant abilities and when those were nerfed into oblivion our dps tanked.

My advice would be to let the rogue be for a bit and hope that since the world first race is over balancing changes will come, unless you want to PvP.
