I have a feeling he is about to use Kaoken times 1 million on us all. He’s backed into a corner now.
Pre-Launch TEST
I had a bad feeling when i saw that. I know that false sense of optimism all too well. at least we have phones, i mean Forums, right?
It doesnt need to work perfectly. It needs to actually be testable and halfway functioning when the server status states ITSELF as open and working… if it isnt working dont leave it open, idk how many more “its just a test” people there are and dont understand the fundamentals of running an actual test or having correct information displayed in a timely manner…
Better they fix this stuff now then launch week. Literally the reason they are doing stress tests are to fix stuff like this.
again you can literally reread the previous reply. When the server is OPEN it should therefore be testable… and its not, so if that doesnt make sense you should crawl back under your rock.
Nope didn’t do anything different.
This works, just tested myself.
This right here is what it should be. If you are told to test drive a car and it isn’t running, how do you test it?
but what are they fixing? A guild of 50 experienced no issues nor heard any issues until they restarted, they just dug their own test grave man
So… what exactly was broken that they needed to “fix”? I was doing just fine before restart and saw nothing wrong up to nearly level 12 and now it’s more broken than ever.
ROFL.
Imagine complaining about a Stress Test going down…
I wonder why no one cares to listen to your issues. You didn’t like a few responses and then began getting super defensive. Now you’re at the mercy of Classic fans – You DO however have a safe space… BFA forums where people are all self entitled and want changes done when they want them done by their standards is That way>>>>>>>>>>>
Again, if it’s a “test” how do you test it when you can’t get on? I think I know what your problem is, you’re a moron.
pretty much don’t expect to be playing on release day until 5-8 hours after release.
So you are saying in a stress test, they are not allowed to find critical stress failure issues. For all we know, Blizz may be reducing their server bandwidth on purpose just to see at which point it will cause a world server failure.
If you understand the fundamentals of running a test, then you should know to test both success and failure. All the servers running perfectly is great, but unfortunately that’s only half the test. You need to test when and how the systems will fail. Failure will let you know the minimum amount of servers and bandwidth you need to save cost and how much margin to add to prevent these failures.
So… since we are signing up as testers, then that’s exactly what we are, testers for whatever they may be testing.
edit: for the ones asking how can they test if you can’t log on, please keep in mind that you not being able to log on is a test in itself. Negatives are as good data points as positives. And you can’t log on does not mean no one can log on.
Simply trying to log in is testing it. Sure its not what blizzard or we wanted to test really but it is what it is.
