This is like better deep freeze. Giving that to fire and arcane but still not giving frost deep freeze is so frustrating.
Well not exactly. The whole thing about Deep Freeze wasn’t just the stun but also that fact that it froze the target and you could then shatter it. I feel your pain though, it is kinda of slap in the face to Frost mages after all these years of depriving them of DF. It also highlights one of the biggest problem with hero trees which is seeing something you really like in the one tree that isn’t available to your spec.
They could add it as a PvP talent for Frost Mages to choose. I wouldn’t put it past them.
Or Deep Freeze as a PvP talent.
I’d really hate this because frost has two mando pvp talents already in concentrated coolness and ring and an arguable third one in bomb.
While blizz could remove ring or bake concentrated into orb, it would be a lot better for them to just dump deep freeze into the spec as a spell frost gets while leveling.
Frost gets gapped by the other specs damage profiles so often in pve that the added utility would help the spec in m+ a little bit.
I think one of the suggested changes that I read somewhere and actually liked was making it a choice node with Frostbite. My preferred change would be to put it somewhere in the tree that’d be mandatory to pick up so that it wouldn’t directly compete with throughput talents like Arcane.
